Here are five secrets to generate more exclusive and qualified roofing and solar leads in 2020

I want to talk about five secrets on how you can start to generate more exclusive, qualified and higher quality leads for your roof in the solar business with predictability and on demand in 2020 and beyond. And instead of being $130 for duplicate leads, I want to talk about how you can start generating exclusive and qualified leads under your own brand and website for between 10 to $20 kind of huge difference, right?
So let's dive right into it. So the first point that I have is that Facebook trumps everything else. And what do I mean by that? Well, and pretty much social media marketing is the future of advertising as we know it. The average American average American spends between two and a half to three hours per day. And right now on social media, all age groups, it's not only young people on social media anymore. Average American spends two and a half to three hours per day on social media. Think about that. And that number is just going up and up and up every year. So yeah, that's a fact. So social media marketing is the future of advertising. So why is Facebook better than everything else? Well, think about it like this. What do all rudeness all the contractors do right now? What do like 99% of roofing and solid contractors advertise?
Where do they advertise? Well, lead gen, site, home advisor, and just porch works. All of these lead gen sites, right? Which, excuse my French, but they suck, right? It's duplicate, expensive and doesn't generate them. You need some in your brand. So, but a lot of people are still doing it because they don't know what else to do. The second biggest thing that they do is Google. Everyone's doing Google, everyone does Google SEO and Google click. Everyone is trying to rank and pay for the same keyword. And what happens when everyone does something, it becomes very competitive. Prices go up and it takes a long time to get results. Not the best alternative out there. Then also offline is the very popular. So you know, some people only depend on referrals. Some people will have yard signs, some people just wrapped their truck. Some people you know, do print direct mail, magazines, billboards.
Some people did TV, radio commercials, sales. Some people do outbound, you know, you know, call centers or door knocking and uh, yeah, you know, some people are still doing or most roofing solar contractors are still just only depending on those offline marketing methods, lead gen sites and Google. So that's also a big reason why Facebook is better than the number thing because it's less competition. Pretty much no one is doing it right now. The right way. You can escape the competition, you can get higher quality leads you for cheaper prices. So instead of paying $8,230 per lead on those other platforms on Facebook, you can get high quality exclusive leads on demand and with predictability generated on under your own brand and website for between 10 to $20. And you can also do brand nickel, social media, which you cannot do on those other ones.
Or you can do team radio if you want to, but it's super expensive. You cannot really do it with [inaudible]. It's not that effective. You can the do it on Google, neither grade. It's like it's only a textually that you pay for on Google. So, but on social media, you can share videos, you can share images, you can share a headline, you can do everything being under your Logan number, your Facebook business page. So it's just a hundred times better than all of these other ones that I just talked about. So that's my tip number one, go and figure out Facebook and social media marketing. Eh, you just got to have a lot more fun. And, uh, yeah, you're going to get better results and then we'll be able to scale the business to the next level and in a more predictable way. That brings me to point number two and that is that you need to start to build your online audiences. So if you don't know what an online audience is, you should in 2020, it's like the new [inaudible] email list, but a hundred times more powerful what you can do right now when you advertise on these online platforms like Facebook, Instagram for example, is that when you sign up with their business manager at like the, um, the portal from where you do your advertising campaigns, what do you do within those platforms is that you can get something called a pixel. So a pixel is just a very, very small code snippet that you can just copy paste into your WordPress site or your WIC site or whatever CMS platform you're utilizing for your website. You just log into your website, you just paste this code that you get from Facebook.
And now we have a pixel installed. And what this pixel does is that when someone visits your website, Facebook will know who that person is. He, they will be able to connect at like a cook in the browser. So they will know what Facebook profile they have, right? Because everyone's, I like Nike too, the Facebook all the time in a way. So Facebook has done like an and extension to your website, if that makes sense. Um, and so you can save that person in an audience and this audience, you can build bigger and bigger and bigger. Four times. You can tell Facebook like, Hey, I want to save everyone that's been to my website for the past six months. I want to save them in an audience. Then I want to show those people out. Right? So it's like when you go to Amazon for a top right, and you look at a pair new Nike shoes for example, you look at them, they look awesome and then don't buy them for whatever reason.
But do you think, Hey, I'm going to buy them later to run around downstairs. You have a dinner for example, then you forget about them, but then like in an hour or two when you're browsing around Instagram or the web or on Facebook, those Nike shoes starts to pop up everywhere, right? That's retargeting. They have put you in an audience and now they're retargeting you. And that's what you should do for your roofing solar business as well. You should install this pixel on your website and then you should build your audience and then you should follow people around that have shown interest in your business, right? So you're trying to get them back to your website so that the adults forget about you. So if you do that and your competitors don't, obviously it's going to be a lot higher chance for people, homeowners to do business with you compared to your competitors if you're doing retargeting.
And another real cool thing about retargeting and building your audience and building your actual audience, it's 100% free. And then actually to target that audience is like cheapest type of advertising you can do. And it's also the most powerful type of advertising that you can do. So if you have 10,000 people in your audience, that's 10,000 unique visitors coming to your website, potential customers, 10,000 people, you can spend $10 per day to show all of these 10,000 people, one or two ads every single day on all the time forms. If you have 5,000 you can spend $5 a day. It doesn't get a lot cheaper than that. So you can spend like 150 bucks per day to show 5,000 people an ad every single day on Facebook, Instagram and Google as well. It's pretty, pretty cheap. So you should build your audience and if you want to know how to do it, you know where to go.
Brings me to point number three and that is cross platform re targeted. So I, I can already talked about this now, but now you know what a pixel is in, you know what an audience is and you also know what retargeting is, right? So you can install the pixel from Facebook and that ultimately proves Instagram because Facebook owns Instagram. So when you start install a Facebook pixel onto your website, you also have the Instragram pixel installed automatic, but so you can start to re target people on Facebook and Instagram that maybe you want to start to re target people in YouTube as well. Or on the Google display network as faults, you can show these banners, right? If you go to like a mobile website like tech crunch or whatever might B, you will start to see those banner ads right on top and on the side.
You can create those banner ads for your business as well, but then you need a pixel from Google and you need to build an audience on Google as well. Google owns Google obviously, but they own the home owns YouTube, right? So we install the pixel from Google as well. Now we will be able to retarget people with your videos on YouTube as well, but also on those display banner ads also. It's also 100% free to set up the Google pixel and to build your audience. But it's going to cost you like five to $10 per day to retarget people depending on how big your audience is. But it's still very, very powerful. So what I mean by cross path from retargeting is that you want to retarget people on all platforms. So when someone comes to your website and spends to the secondary, you're going to, you want to show them Facebook ads every single day.
Instagram ads, every single day, YouTube video, every single day, a Google banner ad every single day. You can also retarget people on LinkedIn. If you want to do that, then you have to just log into LinkedIn and get their pixel installed on your website in your audience. Now you can retarget people on old platform. It doesn't matter where that homeowner is going on their phone. If the browse the web, they see banner ads, Facebook, Facebook ads, Instagram, Instagram hunts. I'm sure we get the point. It's super powerful. It's super cheap and it's called cross-platform retargeting. And if you're not doing that right now, definitely should. So that brings me to point number four and that is high quality branding videos. And this is a very hot tip for someone who has already installed those pixels and you do the retargeting already. You have been your audience already. Maybe also have a cold traffic campaign to spend more money to Facebook, for example, to get more people to your website and to your Facebook business page.
So you maybe spend like $3,000 per month to get new people in and then you spend maybe like $20 per month, um, or sorry, uh, like $20 per day to retarget people on top of that as well. She spent a ton of money to get new people in like 80 or a hundred dollars per day and then he spent like $20 per day to retarget them. So once we have kind of that system in place, and that's what, that's the ultimate goal of what we teach roofing sole contractors to do, you know, how to drive new traffic in with pay traffic, how to retarget that traffic, and then how to have a system in place that converts traffic into leads and leads into customers and having that entire process automated. But once you have that in place, if you want to take it to that next level, what you can do is that you can hire like a, the video content creation agencies, someone somewhere locally where you live and you pay them, you know, a premium price normal to get a real high quality video plays like a high quality TV commercial in place.
But instead of distributing that on TV, you want to distribute it to your audience, right? So now you can retarget people with a high quality branding video and it will be an, an initial investment for you to create this high quality video for your company. You know, going to have a crew and they've gone into images to kind of take video. They're going to create a high quality video and that, you know, evokes a good feeling. But the return on that investment is fruit. And some of our customers have done it and it's just insane because when you start to retarget people with those high quantity branding videos is that they will start to like you. First of all, they will start to see who you are and you will control the perception of your company. That's what branding is. First of all, they will see who you are.
You will see some faces within your company, they will see what you're doing. Maybe see some testimonials. It will be some good in music. They will see when you're on the rooftop installing solar panels or installing shingles, whatever. Now I'd be right. So you will control the perception of your company with a high quality branding video. People will see who you are, they will see your logo, they will see the within your company. Uh, so they will start to like you initially. Then they will start to trust you when they've seen those videos 10 times or whatever. And I'm lucky. It was hard to trust you when ultimately they will feel like they know you because now they've seen print. Now they pretty much been like, they know you because they've seen the face on those videos so many times now. So now they feel like they already know your company.
Right. And what happens when somebody feels like they know you. Well, the chances for them to do business with you go up by 10,000 times, maybe even more. People only do business with people in businesses that they know and brands that they know. So if you want people to know you, you need to brand yourself in the best way to do that. Awaiting high quota videos, distribute that on social media to audiences with retargeting. And um, yeah, now your sins conversions are just going to spike. So that brings me to point number five. My final point for today's video, uh, five secrets on how you can get more exclusive and qualified leads. Uh, in 2020 if we were roofing the solar business. And that is that you want to start utilizing marketing automation. So the cool thing now when we do online ads, especially on social media, is that, you know, this is pretty much running for itself.
You don't necessarily need an agency to run the system for you. Um, you need a proven system in place that I have a proof of concept. So you need, you don't want to get something set up with a business that you know is working. Um, so, but then once you have that set up and get started and you know what to write in the ads and so forth, um, you don't, you don't really need an agency to run it for you. You can have marketing automation 2040 essentially have computers on it for you. So the ads are going to run for themselves. Then once you generate a need that's anti process, it's going to be automated by marketing automation as well to put the leads into the CRM system. The automatically, then you can send out the lead information to sales reps will automatically confirmation text and email to the homeowner full to automatically do the entire nurture process fully, automatically.
The entire followup process will do automatically. And then you can also do this retargeting finally full automatic as well. So yeah, you just need someone to show you what the set up, how to set up, how to set it up and how to get started with it. And then after that you can just automate it. And really the benefits with marketing automation is that you streamline your business. It's automated the same thing. It happens over and over again and the computer never complains and it never fainted. So you can, this system is really built for scale. Since it's a system running and an automation running, you can, you can put like 10 leads per day through the system or you can put 100,000 leads.
This new the system every single day. If you can spend that upon the money, I don't think anyone can, but, or it wouldn't really be possible, but the system wouldn't be able to handle it. Right? So you don't need to hire more people to handle that tool, you know, to handle the actual system. Obviously you need to have to handle more and hire more people to handle the demand. Of course, since you are having an actual service that you're going to deliver as well. Um, but what I'm trying to say is that when you have marketing automation in place and when you have a proven system in place that generate leads for you, leads are not going to be the trash hold for your business. You know what's going to be the trash hold is going to be to hire more people to be able to keep up with the demand essentially.
And that's a good pressure to have because now you can scale to whatever point you want to. If you don't want to scale anymore, you can just take the best jobs that you get.
