But for today's video, I want to talk about how you can generate hundreds of roofing or solar leads to your business without doing any type of outbound marketing. You know, door knocking or call centers have anything of that old school nonsense. So let's dive right into it. So the first thing that you need to do is to cut the fat, to remove the garbage.
And what do I mean by that? Well, if you want to start to generate exclusive leads for roofing or solar business and you want to generate hundreds of them for good prices, I'm not talking about duplicate $130 leads here. I'm talking talking about exclusive high quality roof from the solar leads for between 10 to $20 and these are real leads. These are people and homeowners in your area that are actively searching for your services. And the opt in with name, email, phone number, and address for a free estimate. That's what I qualify as a real lead. So if you want hundreds of those types of needs for between 10 to $20 that are exclusive to you, you're the only guy who receiving them, then you should listen closely. So what do I mean by that? Remove the fat. Well, the first thing that you need to remove if you're currently using it, is lead generation sites don't do that.
It breaks all of the rules. It's duplicate leads. You do the advertising under their platform and under the DuPont or in their brand. So you're not doing any, any of your own advertising or any of your own brand building simultaneously as you advertise for leads, right. So there are duplicate, you don't do any brand building and they're expensive and you're not building your own platform. You're not building your own CRM list and it's not automated and it's just a pain in the butt. Right? So don't do lead gen sites. If you're doing home advisor and Andrew's list or portrait, any one of these ones, just go in there, log in there right after this video and just stop it. Stop wasting your money on that thing. It's just insane. It's just insane. I know every time that I talked with the roof from the solar contractors and I ask them what they're currently doing, pretty much every single time they have some type of budget allocated to Legion sites.
And what if I asked them if if they like it or not, they're like, every single time they're like, no, I hate it. I'm like, why are still doing it? Then it's like, yeah, kind of works, but it's insanely bad. So like, yeah, time to figure out something new. Right? So cut that off. Don't do that anymore. It's so, so the second thing that you need to cut away is those underperforming marketing agencies. There are a ton of marketing agencies out there and like the biggest warning sign then I, when I see marketing agencies out there on the web are these generalist marketing agencies. And w what do I mean by a generalist marketing agency? Well, they help every industry with every type of problem and every type of service. So they help roofing and solar contractors. They help chiropractors, accountants, lawyers, dentists, you know, they help everyone.
And then they help all of those industries with every type of service. You know, Google, Facebook, um, ALPA marketing, inbound marketing and landing pages. You know, they do everything. Google ads, they do everything for everyone. And then they claim to be an expert at everything for everyone, which is totally, it's impossible. It's insane. So don't hire these generalist marketing agencies. But if you're fortunate enough to find a marketing agency that are specialists in your specific industry, if you find a marketing EMC that only helps roof no solar contractors for example, and only do Facebook ads, let's say, um, make sure that they have testimonials in place and all of that, and also make sure that you own this entire system yourself. Make sure that they set up this advertising system under your brand and under your website that you want the login details. They should not set up the system that they own.
They should set it up so that you own it so that you control it and they're just a co like a consultant coming in and running that for you. So if they leave or if they underperform, you still own the system. Super important. Also make sure sure that they do the advertising under your brand and under your website, if they are starting to do advertising under their own like Facebook business page, that's a big no, no, that's a big red flag because that means that they're probably doing some type of pay per lead model. They're probably, you know, they generate the leads and then you can buy the, the price per lead type of thing model. Right. Do not do that. Not, they're pretty much just, um, yeah, they're pretty much doing the exact same thing as home advisor dude. And again, now you have no guarantee that the leads are exclusive to you.
They're publicly duplicate. Guess the, if they do a paper lead model, they're probably selling that lead to you, but they're probably selling it to a bunch of other contractors as well that you don't want that. And you're also missing out on the brand building opportunities. So it's just insane. So be very careful when you hire marketing agencies. You know, nowadays when we have computers, you can actually have computers working for you. And if you know how to set up marketing system for your roof from the solar business, you don't need a marketing agency anymore. You can just learn the basics [inaudible] yourself. You just need to learn how to set up a system. And it's like as easy as setting up an Ikea furniture. If someone just shows you how to do it. And that's exactly what we firstname.lastname@example.org. We show you how to set up the system and run it yourself so that you own it yourself and you are guaranteed to generate exclusive leads under your home brand and websites and no more shady marketing agencies.
So yeah, there's so many red flags that you need to be aware of when you hire a marketing agency. Because the truth is more often than not, it's just crap. They underperformed and they charge a bunch of money. So yeah, be aware of that. Um, the third thing is that, you know, escape the competition on Google. You know, it's so competitive right now in the roof, roofing, solar industry, Google now Google ads for paper, click, uh, trying to rank, you know, a bunch of marketing agencies again, right telling you that, Hey, you must do Google, you must do SEO. You must rank to this, to these certain keywords. But what they don't tell you is that they're probably helping all of your competitors as well. If all of your competitors are doing paperclip and SEO, and that means that it's, it's very competitive, it's expensive, it's hard to get results and it takes time to get results.
You know, if you're going to hire an SEO agency can do SEO for you and if you're in the, if you're in the roofing solar industry, if you've never done SEO before, it's going to take you minimum a year to do, start showing up on the first page, minimum a year if you're ever gonna get in results. That's not the thing with SEO. They can never guarantee you any type of results, but you will have to pay upfront. You will have to pay a monthly fee for them to do the work for you, but they can guarantee integrate great results like, yeah, it's not the best deal. However, I am a big believer in SEO myself. I know the power of it if you can rank, but in the roofing and solar industry, it's so competitive, so you should not depend on that. There are a lot better alternatives out there, so yup, that's like the first point.
Remove the garbage, cut away the fat, and I'm sure that you get the point right now. The second thing is how do you actually get the leads then if you're not going to do all of these ones well, you need to move over to Facebook and social media advertising. Why? Well, because the competition of Facebook in the roofing of solar industry right now, it's like a thousand Etsy doesn't even compare to today. Competition on Google. And you can do the advertising under your own brand and on your own website, on Facebook and social media, you can generate exclusive leads and you pay 10 to $20 per lead instead of 80 to $130 per lead in all of these other platforms. And you can also build your brand and you can share videos and you can share images. You can both do this like lead generation type of campaigns, but you can also do the branding campaigns, which is insane because everyone is watching this thing 24 seven right?
And if you don't agree with me, just walk out sour, sign your business or, or your office and take a look at the first 10 or 20 people that you see and count how many people that are walking like this were even driving their cars like this. It's insane. So this is the new TV, this is the new radio, this is the new magazine. This is everything. This is what people cares with them. 24 seven and yeah, you just need to figure out how to do Facebook advertising and social media advertising because it's just going to help your business from India. So that's the second point. So Facebook and social media and you need to figure out how to, basically what you need to figure out when you move over to Facebook is that you need to have a cold traffic campaign. So how do you drive new leads in?
And then you need an online sales system. So when lead starts to come in, what do you do with the leads? These leads are exclusive to you and they're building a brand, right? But how do you, what do you do with the leads? And you need an online sale system that that is automated by computers and marketing automation, which is beautiful. You don't need to do a bunch of manual work anymore. You can just have the computers do the work for you. So when the lead come in, when the homeowner opt in with name, email and phone number and address and all of that and they want to request a free estimate, you want to automate the process. After that, your sales reps get the information sent to them immediately without a human doing any type of work, the homeowner gets a confirmation email, a text message immediately as well, just stating that, Hey, thank you so much for reaching out to us and requesting a free estimate.
We will be calling you up here shortly. One of our sales guides or whatever you might say, right? Then the salesperson calls the homeowner. They already already have the information in front of them that the homeowner opted in with the talk with them. They qualify them, set an appointment and so forth. Right. Educate and answer questions, right? And hopefully you get out to them and make them a new customer. Then you can also follow up the, the uh, the automate the followup process and um, yeah, you, what I've tried to say here, you need cold traffic coming in, journey new leads coming in from South Facebook and social media. And then you need an online sale system that actually handles the leads for you, store them, you follow up with them, you called them and so forth. And if you think it's super hard, well if you, if you don't know where to start, it is hard. It's a lot to figure out. But if you just have someone to show you how to do it, it's simple. Just click, do couple of bottom clips and then you're done. And then you have your own online system. The system set up for you and you own it yourself. So that's the second thing. Move over to Facebook with social media. The third thing that you need to do if you want to start taking your business to that next level and start generating hundreds of roofing and solar leads for your, for your business, without knocking doors, is that you need to start to brand your business on social social media specifically with videos. You know, and you need to know how to distribute those videos on Facebook and social media.
I'm not talking about creating and high quality video for tens of thousands of dollars and then just posting it on your Facebook business page, your website and your YouTube channel and just leave it there. That's what like everyone is doing. They spend a bunch of money on super high quality videos. Then they just post it somewhere on the internet that maybe like a hundred people see that video in like six months time. This is super, super common, so when you have created a high quality video, instead of distributing it on that whole thing, that TV over there, you need to learn how to distribute it on this thing with paid traffic and distribute videos on the iPhone or on the social media platforms. YouTube, Facebook and Instagram is super dirt cheap. You can get high quality views, homeowners that are actively searching for your services to see your branding venues for just a couple of cents on the dollar.
It's, it doesn't even compare to the TV. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars in. The more in truth is nobody's carrying around the TV with them when they're going to work or, but this thing people are carrying around with them and watching all the time. Do you need to learn how to brand yourself on destiny? So brand yourself on social media specifically with high quality videos and learned, learn, hunted, distributed on social media platforms with paid traffic ads and their all that sounds so hard, but it's real. He really not, again, it's just a couple of clicks. You just need someone to show you like click by click step by step. This is how you do it. That's exactly what we do at [inaudible] dot com. Everyone in roofing and solar industry are still doing these, you know, home advisor and Angie's list and door knocking and call centers and hiring marketing agency. So there's, everyone's doing that. And when it comes to Facebook advertising and social media, it's just chaos. And that is fun to me because then you can start solving problems and getting amazing results for people.

Start to figure that out, specifically cold traffic and get an online seating system in place. The third thing is you need to start to brand your business online. You need to be able to distribute those videos with pay traffic, um, and that's how you scale your business to that next level and start generating hundreds of leads for roof in the solar business, exclusive leads without knocking doors or doing cold calls.
