Here is the new way to get qualified and exclusive solar leads generated under your own brand and website.

But for debt today, I have an awesome video for you guys. I'm going to talk about the new way to start generating exclusive and qualified solar leads under your own brand and website the new way. So I have some notes here in front of me, so I'm just going to quickly recap what I'm going to talk about.
The first thing is the online sales system that you need in place. The second thing I'm going to talk about is marketing automation. And AI and how that affects your solar business. Now in 2020 and beyond. The third thing is I'm going to go into talking about the best traffic source. Where should you advertise this year? The fourth thing I'm going to talk about is retargeting and cross platform retargeting. Why you should do it, what it is and how you do it. And the fifth and final thing is branding and how do you do branding the new way and how do you control the perception of your company, increase your sales conversions and just takes your solar business to that next level. So stay to the end of the video, but for now, let's dive into the first point. So first of all, the online sales system.
So the new way to do advertising right now in 2020 and beyond is that you want to escape those, first of all, those lead generation websites, those lead generation marketing agencies. You want to escape the offline, you know the TV and radio, the direct mail, billboards, print, all of that. And you want to start controlling your own advertising. You want to have your own online sales system in place that you automate with computers, with AI and machine learning, you're going to need marketing agency to do, to do it for you can have computers to do it for you to want to have an online sales system in place and you want to automate it. You want to do online ads and want to move over to social media because the average American spends like two and a half hours per day on social media and over three hours per day on their phones.
So this is the new TV, the new radio, the new magazine and this is where you need to learn how to trust it, transition over to, and the first thing to do that is to have an online sales system in place that helps you to when you get traffic to your business, when you get eyeballs, new potential customers doing business online, you need an online safe system in place that converts traffic into leads and it also helps you to convert leads into new customers. And if they don't convert into new customers, you want this online sales system to do the followup process for you. Send out emails or send out text messages to people that don't convert immediately and then you also want this online sales systems to send out to do this cross platform retargeting, so if they see you once on Facebook, they're going to start to see you all over the place and we're going to talk about that a little bit more here in a second so that you need, if you're going to start controlling your own advertising now in 2020 and beyond and automated with marketing automation and AI, it might sound expensive, but it's not weekly, not.
It's not expensive at all. It doesn't even compare to having the agency hired and it works a lot better as well. You had a need to have that online sales system. You automated. When you generate the lead, you can put them into the CRM system automatically and no manual work. You send out the confirmation even to the homeowner or text message or both, just stating, hi John, we received your request for a free estimate. We will reach back to you here in shortly. If you want to call us directly here to phone number. Thank you so much from a ABC solar or whatever your company name might be, right? So you can automate that. The confirmation process, you can also automate the, you know, if you have sales reps, sales guys, you can send out the right lead information, the right homeowner lead information to the right sales reps.
maybe you're, you're on three different locations in your States. Want to make sure that you send it to the right sales person. You can just automate that as well. So that's really the heart of the entire thing. You need an online sales system in place. The second thing that you need to fix is marketing automation and AI. So now in 2020 and beyond, we have some awesome technologies in place that you can do place and it doesn't cost a lot. You just need to know where to find it, how to implement it. Oregon have a plug and play system set up and then just have it run for you over and over and over again. And marketing automation is what I've pretty much talked about already. You can have your own lane seat system in place and then you can automate all of these different processes and systemize your business and make it more effective and have the same thing happen over and over and over again.
Every leader comments, every, they go through the extracting process. And the cool thing with that is that you can start small, you know, spending $1,500 per month or $2,000 a month in advertising. And as you put the dollar in, you get $3 out and when you want to start ramp things up, you can just put more money into it. And this system would work just as good with $2,000 ad budget with 20,000 million ad buddy or $200,000 a month in ad budget. So because it's automated by computers, then they can handle so much data. And so much track. So marketing automation is a game changer. You need to figure that out if you want to advertise in this new way in 2020 and you also want to utilize AI and machine learning and big data. So what you're gonna do with AI and machine learning is that you can identify people that are in market for your services.
So you only advertise the people that are most likely to actually convert into lead or to new customer. And you can also utilize AI to, to also automate this process for you. And artificial intelligence intelligence is clearly the future is insane and machine learning as well. And those marketing platforms out there with big data, you have so much data about their users and if you implement AI for your business or you can identify the right people in this big data, that is how you win. So you definitely need to check out marketing automation and artificial intelligence for your business and implement it into your own lane safe system. And we teach you exactly how to do that on our way. So that's the second thing. The third thing that you need to figure out is the traffic, right? You need a traffic source, you need some type of platform where people or homeowners in our area spent a lot of time and you need to start to add ties on that platform.
So you can use the doodle, do like Google or you can do Facebook or Instagram or if you're commercial business, you might have tested LinkedIn. And we tested all of them. And the most popular ones, both in the solar and roofing industry right now is a Google. Everyone's doing Google ads, Google paper click and a Google SEO, right? And when someone is, when something is sold up here, it's very competitive and the prices go up a lot. And yeah, it's expensive and it takes a lot of time to get results as well. And if you've been doing Google ads like the past two years or the past year, you know that the prices has gone up, locked in just a pack year. It's not what it used to be. That's simply because everyone is just competing on Google. So if you escape the competition on Google and move over to Facebook, well now you have less competition.
You can get higher quote leads and you can get cheaper needs. You can get exclusive and qualified leads. Solar leads on Facebook for between 15 to 25 or $30 on this roof. In the roofing industry, you can get leads for between 10 to $20. It's a little bit higher on on the sole part, but still very, very, a lot cheaper when you compare it to Google. So between 15 to $30 I would say it would be fair and exclusive. These exclusive leads to you and if you move over to Facebook, the competition is a lot lower as mentioned, but you can also do the advertising under your own brand. Imagine, you know you can have your own logo, you have an image or a video of your company. You can have a headline and a text compared to just the text link on Google. And Google is kind of crazy when you just think about it very objectively.
It's the page is a search engine. A homeowner says for a solar company in Florida, let's say, and then you might pop up, but also like 15 off your competitors Baobab. So you're pretty much asking for competition. When you advertise advertising, Google, which isn't saying compared to Facebook, when someone scrolls through their feed, they see an ad, you're going to be the only solar contractor there. There's not going to be any competitors around you at all. Plus you can do the branding simultaneously. You can write more tax, you can on headline, you can share a video too. You can build that brand awareness simultaneous. The SEI advertised for you as well, which is insane. And yeah, average Americans spend two and a half hours per day on social media over three hours per day on their phones. And that's the average American. And that's all age groups.
So if you believe that it's only young people on social media, no man, everyone is spending time on social media nowadays. Just walk up the street and look how people behave when they walk like this. It's like an extension of their arm right now. Right? So two and a half hours per day on social media. It's insane. So Facebook is the best traffic source. Hands down for the solar industry right now. If you want qualified [inaudible] exclusive solar leads, move on to Facebook and hook it up to your own online sales system with marketing automation and AI. The fourth thing that I want to talk about is re targeting and you want to do that cross platform. So now what you have your online sales system in place that convert traffic into leads into customers. You have Facebook that brings a lot of traffic into the system.
What happens now is that you want to do retargeting as well. So when someone sees your ads just once on Facebook, just think about it like this. If you're around shopping around on Amazon and you're looking for new pair of running shoes, you check them out. A new pair of Nike running shoes and he was like, no, I'm not got to buy them now. Or I ate dinners to run downstairs, right? Because then they're, and then you forget about them. Then what happens when you go to Facebook? You seen the ad for those [inaudible] Nike shoes or do you go to Instagram? You see the Nike shoes again, when you go to your favorite tech blog or food blog, you see her, um, you should see your suit shoes there. Again, when you go to YouTube to watch a cliff, you see an ad of those exact Nike shoes.
That's called retargeting. And that's what you can do for your solar business as well. When someone see your ad or interacts with your website just once or they go to your Facebook business page just once, you can also do this retargeting club cross-platform. So if this, you want some Facebook, you can show them ads every single day on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google and LinkedIn and all the websites across the entire internet as well. And that's called retargeting, cross-platform retargeting, which is super, super powerful. And that's what you should do if you want to advertise in the new ways. Start generating exclusive and qualified solo. So that's the fourth thing. I don't think I need to talk about that a little more. It's super powerful. You should definitely use it for your solar business. The fifth thing that you need, the fifth and final thing that you need through sold the business to advertise the new way to start January, January, the more exclusive and qualified solar leads is that you need to do Randy, right?
So yeah, it just basically three options here. Either you're not doing any branding at all, which is super, super bad because you're not controlling the perception of your company is super, super bad, or you are doing no branding offline. So you're doing branding on like TV and radio commercials or print, you're doing direct mail campaigns or billboards or magazines, or maybe you're doing like, or maybe you're only branding, it's like a yard sign or even wrapping your truck, right? And, but really the most powerful offline branding technique is obviously the TV, right? And TV is expensive and it's not the most powerful branding tool out there nowadays. Again, remember two and a half hours per day, the average American social and three hours per day on their phones, the average American. So should you spend advertising on the bed and big old screen that nobody cares around in their pocket or should you advertise on this screen that you know that people are spending a ton of time on the carry the around with them all day?
Right. And the best part, the biggest difference between this screen advertising on this social media suite and printed the.one is that you can get a view for a couple of cents on this one for that. On that old thing, it's expensive, right? So you need to figure out how to in branding on social media. But then again, like this is something that I thought about for a long time. Like why do actually do branding? I thought branding was just like some, why do you actually do read? And it took me some time to actually figure that out. And when we started to implement it and we really tested to do social media branding, we were like, okay, we saw the results. We were like, okay, this is why your new brand. So let me explain. So if you're not doing any type of branding and you're not controlling the perception of your solar company, basically homeowners have no idea what you stand for, what your logo is, who your people are, what your people stand for.
Some video testimonials, they have no feeling they are done. They're not attached to you. If you're not controlling the perception of doing company, you're not giving the homeowners in the area chance to see you, to interact with you, to start to like you, to start to trust you and eventually be like the know you and people only do business with people that they know. And if you can get people to know you before you ever go and meet them or before you ever call them, it's going to be, it's going to be a lot easier for you to close people. The sales conversions go up like crazy amounts when you start to do branding online the right way. Why? Because when you call them, it's not a cold person out there and not knowing who we are when you call them. And when you dumb branding the rice, lay on social media, they've seen our ads on Facebook, they've seen your retargeting ads on all platforms, and they've seen your branding videos, social media as well.
So now when you call them, they are happy that you are calling them. They'll be like, Hey, yeah, no, they feel like they know you already. You think it's going to be easier to close that person, that person than the person who have no idea who you are. Of course is. So during the branding combined with Facebook advertising and death retargeting, that combination is insane. It's super, super powerful. And we've not been able to do this in advertising up until like now. Now back in the days we either did like print or you did like TV commercials. Now we can do both branding and direct response advertising as it's called on social media. So this is the new way and it's super, super powerful. Facebook is definitely the best one. So you need to figure out how to do Facebook advertising the right way, building the campaigns, right lane, so forth. The fourth thing we talk about was retargeting. You know, seeing the Nike shoes, then they appear all the time, everywhere you want to do that for your soul, the business as well. They see on Facebook once and you appear on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google websites, all of that, right cross platform retargeting. And the fifth and final thing was brand new and why branding is so important and so powerful and why you need to start to do branding on this, on social media. So hopefully you enjoyed this video.
