This is how you get roofing and solar leads on a low budget and still dominate your competition.
Hey guys, Max Perzon here and if you've never seen me before, I help roofing and solar contractors to get more leads, more customers and ultimately help them to scale their business to that next level by utilizing social media, Facebook advertising together with our online sales system. But for today's video I want to talk about how you actually can get high quality and exclusive roofing and solar leads if you're on a low budget and still dominate your competition. So let's dive into it. I have some notes here in front of me and I've divided up, divided it up into three different points.
So point number one is that you need an online sales system in place and that is going to cost you about $300 per year if you find the best one. And you need to find a real really good online sales system. And let's kinda break it down. So what do I actually mean with the online sales system? Well first of all, you need to store the lead somewhere and we do that in a CRM system, right? And ultimately you want to be able to connect it, this CRM system to your online advertising campaigns so that when you generate the lead from, for example, Facebook, let's say you want to be able to put that lead into the CRM system automatically. You don't want to do that manually because when you scale things up, it scale things up, it's going to be very time consuming to put a bunch of people manually, manually into the CRM system.
So you want to automate that, you want to have the Facebook campaign running, you want to put people into the online sales system, the CRM system, fully automatically. Then you want to be able to send out confirmation emails to our sales reps with all of the lead information automatically. You also want to send out confirmation emails and text messages to the homeowner with a confirmation message stating like a, Hey John, we know this that you requested for the estimate. We will be reaching back to you as soon as possible. If you want to contact us now, please call this number for example. Right? So we want to be able to automate that. Then we also want to be able to automate the followup process because you need to follow up with the leads. If they don't convert the first time or if they don't answer the phone immediately, you want to have a system in place to follow up with leads that fall through the cracks, right?
So we can automate that followup system both with text messages and with email. And then finally you want to have a retargeting campaign in place. Meaning that if someone just see your ad just once or they leave a comment on your ad just once or life, your ad, just ones, or if they go to your website and just spend the secondary, we want to be able to retarget them. Meaning that we want all of these people that have shown just a slight interest in your business. We want to show them ads all over the web. So Facebook ads every single day, sharing your free estimates offered, but also sharing your branding videos, building that relationship. Immediately. Want to share that on Facebook. We want to share it on Instagram and we also want to share it. Um, we can share it on YouTube, but we can also share it across the entire web on the Google display network showing these banner ads.
Uh, so that people, if they just go to your website once, they're going to start seeing your band everywhere on their phone every single day. So the first thing that you need if you want to generate high called the leads on the low budget for Brittany solar business is that you need to have that online sales system please. That's kind of the heart. Without that, don't even think about starting an advertising campaign or anything like that. You need the conversion system in place first and if you know how to do that, you can get it as cheaply for us. Uh, $300 per year and you can uh, utilize the CRM system, the marketing automation system, the follow up, all of that $300 per year. It's insanely cheap. You just need to know how to do it, where to find it, how to set it up and how to connect it to Facebook.
That's what we teach you on leads, roofing dotcoms if want to know more about that, makes sure to head on over there. That's point number one. You need an all online sales system in place, $300 per year. The second thing that you need is that you need to have a cold traffic campaign in place. If you want to start generating leads and what is that and how much it's going to go into cost you. Well, a cold traffic campaign, you can start as cheaply for a $60 per day. That's going to be about $1,500 per month. You can go cheaper than that if you want to, but I don't recommend, if you're going to advocate online, you should spend at least $1,500 per month, and that is purely advertising dollars. Now, I'm not talking about hiring an agency and doing the work for you and to pay them 50% than Facebook, 50% now at least $1,500 per month, purely an advertisement dollars.
And that's $50 per day. If you can do $2,500 per month, that's even better. Uh, but if you're on a budget, you can definitely start with $5,000 per month. Okay, so now you have the online sales system in place that is already taken care of. You have gone to our website, you know how to set up the system. Now you need to create a cold traffic campaign. So what does a cold traffic campaign and why does it cost $1,500 a month? Well, the cold traffic campaign is when we start to show ads to people in your area, in your state or in your city. Let's see, 30 mile radius around your, your business, let's say it's third mindset you can operate within. And we start to show people, show ads to people that have never seen your ads before. And that's why we called it the cold.
So, and we normally allocate like between 90 to 95% of your advertising budget of your daily advertising budget called the traffic campaigns. Basically we want to try and find new people on the web. We want to show people to show ads to people on Facebook, for example, that I've never seen your ads before because we want to find new potential leads and new potential customers, right? So that's what we call a cold traffic. And you can start without forests. GPS. Yeah, $50 per day or $1,500 per month. You just need to know how to do it and you know where to go if you want to learn more about it. So that's cold traffic campaign. Now we have leads coming in, you have the online sales system in place and now you're connected the two as well. So when you start to generate leads, all of those leads are coming into your online sales system and you can send out the confirmation emails, your sales reps into the homeowners would have all the, all the fully, automatically you can put them into the CRM system for the automatically as well to begin with.
And you can do the followup process in place. So now you have that in place and you have the cold traffic campaign in place as well. Awesome. Let's the two first part. And they don't cost a fortune $300 per year, $50 per day or $1,500 a month. And you're going to get a constant flow of leads. And if you do exactly how we teach how to do it, um, you can get leads for between 10 to $20 each. And that's exclusive leads. And by lead we don't mean like we don't mean giving away free ebook or any of that, you know, nonsense. How we defined the lead is a homeowner in your area that are actively searching for your services. And we can identify those people on Facebook by utilizing their big data and machine learning and artificial intelligence. You don't need to know how to build your campaigns the right way to, to utilize those technologies, but we find people in your area that are actively searching for your services.
That's the people that we show your ads to. And people opt in with name, email, phone number and address for a free estimate or free roof inspection, whatever it is that you do. So that's a lead. So only sales system, cold traffic campaign. What's the third thing? Well, the third thing is that you need a warm traffic campaign in place and that's going to cost you as cheap as $5 per day. So about $155 per month. And this is probably the most powerful type of thing that you can do for your business. So what's a warm traffic campaign? And why is it cheaper? Well, a cold traffic campaign, if you remember, is when we show ads to people on the web, on the internet, on Facebook, that has never seen your brand before. A warm traffic campaign is when we continue to show those people that have seen your ad or brand, just one.
So if someone just comes to your website once or they've seen your ad just once or interacted has had some type of engagement with your ad, just warm, then they are not cold anymore. Now they are warm. So that's why we call it a warm traffic campaign. So we re target them, we start to show them ads, eh, every single day, everywhere. And you become omnipresent. You appear everywhere all the time for the homeowners in your area that have seen your brand as wants. And this is how you build your brand. This is how you just take your business to that next level on the low budget because people just start to see you everywhere on social media and it's called with Harvey. So the warm traffic campaign is going to cost you as low as $5 per day. We normally say that you should spend like about $10 per 10,000 people that you have in your warm traffic campaign.
Audience, K max. What is an audience? Well, when we show cold traffic campaigns on Facebook, a lot of words here, but it's real, real simple, so just pop along with me. Cold traffic, showing ads to people that have never seen your grads before. When someone has engaged with your ad to come for paint, come to your website or Facebook business page. Just once we take that person and we're putting them in your warm traffic campaign audience and over time this audience is going to build up one person, two people, and you're going to have 10 then you're going to have a hundred then you're going to have a thousand and ultimately you're going to have tens of thousands of people in your own audience and that's where we recommend that you pay $10 per day per 10,000 people to be able to show all of these people ads every single day.
Across the entire wedding that's cheap, that extremely powerful. Would you like to spend like $155 per month to be able to show ads to 5,000 people are in your area that you know are actively searching for your services? It's pretty the deal, right? It's a pretty good deal and retargeting is insane. Powerful when you know how to do it the right way and really I'm going to give you a trick here. I'm going to give you an extra extra thing because this retargeting and Maine is like the most powerful thing on the web right now. The whole idea when you do online marketing nowadays is to build up that audience. Your audience is your new email list. It's kind of your new CRM list as well and you don't collect any information. You just have your audience of Facebook knows exactly who those people are and with this audience you can do the retargeting, right?
Then you can retarget people with your offer as you did in the cold traffic campaign where you know you offer a free estimate and so forth. And when people click on the ad, they can, um, you know, fill in their information to request a free estimate and you call them, you qualify them and set an appointment and stuff like that, right? So we can do that, we can retarget people with those types of ads. But an awesome trick is also to retarget those people with branding where you're not selling anything. And the best type of branding content is what do you think videos, right? So if you have, you don't need to create videos like I do where I talk into the camera, you can do that if you want to, but maybe you have like high quality type of commercial type of branding for your business where you just, um, you know, educate and educate about your business, where we ask your questions, where you have created a high quality video for your company, maybe hired a, a media team to do high quality video for your business where, you know, you interview some of your employees and we interviewed the precedent, you interview some past customers, you have some beautiful images rolling of the work that you've done.
I'm sure you get a picture in your head right now, right? The beautiful image and beautiful video shoot when you logo the people, happy, smiling people, happy, uplifting music, just a feel good movie clip off your company. Instead of just posting that video onto YouTube once or posting that on your Facebook business page that pretty much 99% of all businesses do and they get like 10 views. They invest like 10 bucks, thousands of dollars, let's say into super good video and they just post it online somewhere and nobody sees it. If you create a video like that and you have an audience of let's say 10,000 people in an area that I've seen in your ad, just once, imagine taking that high quality video and start shown that video to those 10,000 people and you're going to get thousands of views. Abuse immediate four is cheap, less $5 per day, right?
I'm sure you started to see the power here. You don't have to pen spay a talk. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars on that TV anymore. The new TV is the phone. Everyone is walking around looking down their phones all day. That's the new TV, that's the new radio, that's the new magazine, that's new, new source. And when you build your audience online, by having this online sales system in place, that cold traffic campaign and the warm traffic campaign, you can start to retarget people with all of your branding content. So you mix your branding content with those um, campaigns where you offer a free estimate. And branding is insanely powerful when you, when you know how to do it the right way. Because the whole idea with branding is to control the perception of your company and allow homeowners in your area to understand who you are to like and to trust you.
You think it's going to be easier for you to close more people to get more customers and sell more easily without some more effort effortlessly. If the homeowner already has a feeling about the company, they, when the sales person comes to them to give them a free estimate or inspect the room for example, you think it's going to be easier for that sales person to close that job. If the homeowner has already seen videos of your company all over the web and they already like and trust you before they ever meet someone, of course it makes a tremendous difference. So knowing how to build an audience and share brand new videos on the internet today, especially for locals, local service based businesses such as Ruben or solar contractors is huge. It's huge for every type of business. So yeah, that's much, I pretty much spilled the beans right now.
This is the name of the game right now. Don't do lead gen sites, don't do offline marketing methods. You know, you can try and build your brand as much as you want, sending out flyers, but people watch their phones so they watch videos and you want to appear on that. You want to have good content to share because that's going to take your business to that next level. And you can do it on a budget, as I've talked about in this video, you just need to know how to set it up and how to start to run it.
