Here's how you get roofing or solar leads.
Hey guys, Max Perzon here. So let's dive right into it. So the first thing that I want to discuss is big data targeting and how do you actually find people in your area that are in market. And this is super, super cool and this is something that we've never been able to do before up until very, very reasonably.
So what is in market leads and what is big data? We'll think about it like this. So we have a few really, really big social media platforms right now where people spend a ton of time, right? Everyone is spending their time on this thing nowadays, they're on Facebook, they're on Instagram, they're spending a ton of time on YouTube. Um, what else we have like LinkedIn and so forth, right? Twitter and all of that, right? So these platforms has a ton of users. I think Facebook amends, like Facebook alone has like 230 million monthly active users just in North America alone. So they have a ton of users and they know a lot of other users as well. And that's what we call big data. So they don't only, you know, they don't only know your name, email, phone number, an address. They know a ton more. They know, you know they have a cookie in your browser, in your phone, so they know what type of websites you're browsing.
You know, some people say that they even listen to you. I don't know about that, but maybe they do. So then they can hear you, they can see you with the phone, they can see what you're browsing on your phone as well. They see your messages that you're typing to your friends and family. They see what type of images you share and take. They know what type of content you react to, what type of content, you know, when you're scrolling around, what type of content catches your eye, what content do you spend more time on? What time of content do you consume in terms of videos, you know, they have the ton of data and then they store all of the, all of that data about all their users and now they have big data. And what they can do with this big data is that they can kind of search through this big data with artificial intelligence and machine learning kind of with robots, right?
So they can find out, you know, they can kind of find out like cookie trails who are in market for a certain thing. If you're consuming content about the specific specific bicycle a couple of days in a row, for example, the chances are pretty high that you're in market for a new bike. Or if you're looking at a bunch of videos about a new phone, then you're probably in market for new phones. So that's what we call InMarket leads. These and this AI can kind of figure out who is in market again for certain type of services. And then they allow their advertisers to advertise to those people. So advertise to people who are in market and started generating in market leads. Right? And this is really cool because we can do that in the roofing and solar industry nowadays as well, is that if you know how to build the advertising campaigns the right way, when you know how to structure the, build the structure of your campaigns, right way and when you know how to utilize AI, machine learning and big data, when you know how to craft your message the right way, you know the, what are you actually going to write in the ads, what type of images are you already going to use?
What type of videos are you going to use? Uh, how are you going to connect that into an online sales system? How are you, you know, all of these things, right? When you can connect that into in market and start to advertise to people who are in market from Facebook, you know, you'll be able to just take your business to that next level. Then this is really an unusual method because not a lot of people know about it and not a lot of you know, good advertising agencies don't know about this isn't either. So, but when you do know how to utilize this, you can just scale your business to that next level and advertising online becomes a lot easier than ever and it comes a lot more fun than ever before as well. So that's the first thing, you know, big data targeting and in marketing leads.
So now you hopefully in Canada what that is. The second thing that I want to discuss is the Facebook algorithm. So now that you know that big data exists, you know what it is, you know what machine learning and the AI and so forth is. Now we'll want to talk about the Facebook algorithm because Facebook is not a search engine like Google, right? What Facebook is, is this social media platform, whether a ton of people spend their time, they have a ton of users and they have their big data and then they have advertisers on their platform as well that want to advertise to the right people. So Facebook has this big data and me as an advertiser or the U S advert, potential advertiser for your own roots in the fall, the business, you want to advertise to people who are in market or are looking for your services, right?
And that's why it's so crucial that you know how the Facebook algorithm works. Because if you don't know how the Facebook algorithm works and if you don't know how to work with it, hand in hand, you're never going to get any good results. So it's crucial for you to know how the Facebook algorithm works. And yeah, you just need to know that if you want to get good results, basically. So how does it work? Well, we have the big data and then we have the Facebook algorithm that can kind of find all this data for you, right? So you need to know how to build the campaigns the right way. And the biggest mistake that most people do when they build Facebook advertising campaigns that they structure them completely the wrong way. So you need to be able to build your advertising campaigns on Facebook so that you can feed it in, not variations.
You need to test different ad angles. You need to tap test different images. You need to test different audiences. You need to target those in-market audiences as well. So when you build your campaigns the right way so that this algorithm has enough data go through essentially, if you build them too small, it's not going to happen. Nothing's going to happen. If we build them to beg, nothing is going to happen. Really neither. So you need to build them. You need to be able to build them exactly the right way for your industry. And that's what we teach you how to do. By the way, for on leads within the columns. Um, but yeah, I guess that's enough. Like about the Facebook algorithm. I just want to mention like it exists, you need to know how to work with it. Big data exists. You need to be able to build the campaigns the right way, um, and to be able to feed the algorithm the right data so that it can do the heavy lifting for you. You should do like 3% of the work. The Facebook algorithm should do 98% or 97% of the work, you know, so, and a lot of people make, they do it the completely wrong way. The third thing that I want to talk about is the power of audiences. So here's a really cool thing about online advertising today that not a lot of business owners know about them. So when you do an advertising campaign, um, on Facebook, let's say, or an instrument, and you start to show ads to new people in your area that I've never seen your answer before.
When people, when you start to show your ads and people start to maybe comment on your ad or click on your ad to your opt in form, or they leave a like on your ad, or they just see one of your videos or they just go to one of your, uh, maybe they just go to your website or to your Facebook business page. If someone just do that, once you can see, save all of those people in an audience took Facebook, and this is free by the way. It's totally free to build an audience on Facebook. You just need to know how to do it. But here's the power of an audience. So when someone has seen some of your content out there on the web, just once, you can save them and then you can start to utilize this audience and find more people who look like this person.
So we can, if you have like 300 customers, you can find 2 million people who are like, who looks like who or have certain traits or similar traits to your current customers. So you can find more customers, isn't actually right. But you can also build this audience and start to show ads to those people in that audience over and over and over again. And that's called retargeting. So you know, building an email list or you know, building a this, you know, that used to be very powerful, but really the new email list is the audience. So how do you build up your online audience? And then you can start to retarget those people in show ads to people in their audience. And um, yeah, you can build your audiences. This is bigger, bigger, bigger and bigger over time. And the coolest thing about building your own audience is that it's very, very cheap.
So it's like showing an ad to a person. If you have a 10,000 people in your own audience, you could spend like five to $10 per day to show all of these in ad every single day. That's dirt cheap. It's like a couple of views on a video for like a couple of cents compared to, you know, getting a TV commercial or I don't know how much they charge thousands of dollars. Right? So yeah, you need to know how to build audiences on these advertising platforms because that's really the future because when you build your own audience, you can start to follow people around on the social media platforms and on their phones. The fourth thing that you need to do is that you need to start doing the branding on those social media platforms. You need to stop doing those team radio commercials that are super expensive. You know, why spend a ton of time on flyers and uh, you know, billboards and magazines and TV and radio commercials when everyone is staring down their phone all day.
So the fourth thing is really just to build your brand and, and, and, you know, start building something, trust and get that emotional attachments to the homeowners in your area. But your, the brand and the reason why you want to do branding or social media is central because you know, if it would help with your conversion rates a ton, instead of, you know, just having cold ads running on the web all the time where you're just pitching a fee estimate for example, and then the request for estimate and you go out and meet them. And, um, when you, when your sales guy go out to meet this homeowner for the first time, and they have never, they don't know about your company, they don't know how your logo looks. They don't know what your company stands for, they don't know where you're based. They don't know the feeling about your company on all of these things, right?
So they have to not only sell the service that you offer them, but they also have to sell the trust and sell the, the likeability in that initial meet. And that's, you know, that's just tough to do that. The better way to do it is to start doing branding on those social media platforms together with this direct response advertisements. So, you know, and how do we do that? Well, when you build your own audience, you can start to share videos to that audience. You could start sharing branding videos so that before you even ever tried to sell them anything, you build trust and likability by providing you know, Goodwill and you provide, you know, you educate them or you just shown them what your Stanford within your company. So before an homeowner even decides this madness with you, they already like you, they already know who you are, they know what your company stands for, they've seen your logo, they've seen your brand, they've seen your employees that were senior testimonials.
So once you have shared that the homeowners and when you've been able to control the perception of your company before we ever tried to sell them anything, your conversion rates are going to go way up. Homeowners are going to like more. So when your sales guys actually go out to them, the homeowner feels like they already know you, right? So it's crucial to do social media grabbing nowadays. And you have to start sharing a bedroom on this thing. And I'm not talking about just organic, no, just creating high quality video and then just posting it on your Facebook page. The organic reach right now on social media is super, super low. So you need to be able to know how to share it with paid ads. And um, it's super dirt cheap to do that right now. It doesn't even compare to T Merita commercials.
So we need to know how to do branding on social media with pay that paid advertising on Banes. And that's exactly what we show you how to do. Click by click step-by-step. The fifth thing is to appear everywhere all the time. And this is kind of what I taste ties into what I've already talked about, right? Um, you understand the algorithm, you find new people that you bring into our own audience, and then you can start to retarget those people. And you can appear everywhere all the time. So when you build your own audience, you can show them Facebook ads every single day.
Obviously you can also sort of show them Instagram ads every single day, but you can also do, um, you know, you can also build your audience on those other platforms. So you can do it on LinkedIn if you're commercial roofing or, or solar company, or you can do it on YouTube or on the Google display network. So these banner ads, so you can, you can retarget people across the entire web. So when they go to Facebook this year, they're, when they go to Instagram, they still there. I'm gonna go to YouTube. Your video pops up for them when they go to their favorite food blog or they favorite a magazine or paper website. Your banner ads are gonna show up there. When they log into Lincoln, LinkedIn, your banner ad is going to show up there. So that's how you retarget people. And, uh, yeah, it's, it's insanely, insanely powerful because if someone just see your address, your managers once they're gonna to start to see you everywhere and you become top of mind and you become that, um, yeah, but you become top of mind and you serve more impressions to them, you build that trust and build that trust with the branding over time.
And that just starts a snowball effect. And that's how we take the business to that next level on this social media platforms in 2020. So I think that's enough for today's video.
