I want to talk about artificial intelligence and machine learning and how you can utilize it for your roofing and solar business to get more leads and more customers. So yeah, let's dive into it. The first point that I wanna talk about is big data and artificial intelligence.
What is it and how does it really work? Well, yeah, so let's take Facebook for example. So what is big data when it comes to Facebook and Facebook advertising? Well, in North America, Facebook has like 220 or 230 million active users right now that's active users that not people just signed up. That is monthly active users using their platform on a, on a, on the regular basis. Right? So they have a huge portion of people on their platform. They have a ton of people from their platform and they don't only know the name, email and phone numbers of all of those people. They know their geolocation, they're know the images that they have on their phone that they know what websites they're using, they know what people are chatting to, they know where people are calling, they know their search patterns. Then they know they're there, you know, conversation patterns.
They know what they look at on the web. They know what they look at on Facebook. They know what they have interested in. They don't, you know, they know so much. They know all of what I just mentioned and probably tons of other things, right? So that is what we call big data. They have huge amount of data on all of their users on their platform and they probably know or they do know more about you than you know about you. Essentially they know more about me than I know about myself because they they, they are connected. I am connected to this thing a lot and I know that you are as well and they just control this thing. Essentially they controlled their platform and so forth. Right, so that's what we call big data and then when it comes to advertising and Facebook and social media, like what place does artificial intelligence has in this thing?
Well if there would be a human trying to operate all this big data, it would be insane. Let's say I come as an advertiser to Facebook and [inaudible] and want to do an advertising campaign for a specific group of people in specific place in the U S if there would be like a manual type of process there. When the person sit sitting in front of me works telling me that, okay, I'm going to set everything up for you and so forth. You know, it would be impossible for them to kind of go through all this data and find everyone and so forth. Right? So that's why they have machine learning, uh, you know, marketing automation and artificial intelligence and having computers to do this for them. So they have a huge portion of data. Then they have like, uh, where they have a store, all this data and then they have AI N N and machine learning that can kind of operate within this thing.
So that takes us, takes me to point number two. And that is the Facebook algorithm, right? And the Facebook algorithm is built off this AI and machine learning. We have the big data and we have the Facebook algorithm with the machine learning and the artificial intelligence. So if you want to start generating more roofing or solid leads to your business and you want to utilize AI machine learning when you do Facebook advertising, you just need to know how to build your campaigns the right way. So you need to understand firstly how the Facebook algorithm works, why it works the way it does, and you also need to be aware of this big data. You need to know that it exists because when you know this and when someone teaches you how to build advertising campaigns the right way, you will essentially work hand in hand with the machine.
You will know how to work with the algorithm instead of working against it. It gives when you know how to feed this space with algorithm and AI and machine learning, when you know how to feed it, what it wants and when you, when you need to, when you know how to instructed what you want the right way. This AI Facebook algorithm is just going to work for you like a work horse. It's just going to bring you so much business and so much leads and so much customers. But the truth is that not a lot of roofing and solid contractor track contractors knows how to do it the right way. The truth is, and not a lot of marketing agencies don't know how to do it the right way because it is a bit harder to building a Facebook or it's a bit harder to figure all of this out and doing social media, Facebook advertising than it is to just paying for a keyword on Google, right?
And that's why it's so competitive on Google. But when you know how to set up an online sales system and when you know how to create campaigns on Facebook, that and when you know how to utilize this big data and AI for your business, this algorithm, the Facebook algorithm, we just dive into this big data and find the people who are ready to buy in your area. That's when you get that snowball effect and that momentum, which is so, so powerful. So that's the point number one, big data in artificial intelligence. What is it and how does it work on Facebook? The second thing was the Facebook algorithm. What is that? How does it work? It's like the, the, the spider crawls the web and find everything for you and you, you need to know how to work with it. Right? The third thing that I want to talk about is that when you have that understanding and when you know how to work with it, now it's time to actually drive traffic into it.
So now you need, no, sorry. That's a, um, the third thing is that you need automated online sales system. So you know how to algorithm work. You know how the big data work now you need an online sales system that is ready to handle all of this central leads that are going to start coming in for your business when you start to advertise on Facebook. So what do I mean by an automated online sales system? Well, you want to be able to automate that as much as you possibly can. So the ads are obviously gonna run for themselves on Facebook. But when the homeowner request a free estimate, you want to automate what happens after that? Want to automate the confirmation email. You want to automate what happens with information to your sales reps? You want to automate, do you want to store it somewhere?
So you want to automate that. You also want to automate a followup process so we don't have to do that manually. And you also want to automate the brand building and retargeting and so product. So this is where people just get lost. And this is where people just, they don't think about this part [inaudible] they just think that they can go to Facebook, start a campaign that they built. By the way, the completely wrong way. Then did you start to advertise and maybe some leads come in, maybe, maybe they don't. But if they do, they have no idea what to do with the leads. So that's why it's so important that you have an online sales system in place that actually is sophisticated and that can handle all of those leads that are coming in. So let me just walk you through the process. The homeowner sees your ads on Facebook or insert Instagram, let's say, and you pitch a free estimate.
So they click on the ad and when they click on the ad, often for pop sell within Facebook where they can put in their name, email, phone number and address. Um, if you're a solar contractor, you might have some more questions like, yeah, if you, if they have any shading on the roof or something like that. Right. But the cool thing about Facebook is that most of this information on the Facebook lead form is already prefilled. So they don't have to because Facebook already knows it, right? So it's very convenient for the homeowner. So they clicked on the bottom to request a free estimate. Then we store this information into the CRM system, fully automated. You don't have to put it in there manually, you're not getting an email that you have to then transfer to the CRM. We put it directly from Facebook into a CRM system automatically.
That is a game changer, especially when you're going to scale things and makes it bigger. Because not a lot, a lot of people are doing this, they don't know how to connect Facebook to your CRM system and automate this process with marketing automation. So that's the first thing, the request free estimates. We save it into the CRM system. Then we send out that information to your sales reps fully automated. They just get a notification right away into the phone or into their email so that they can just call the homeowner immediately. Also the former owner, before they ever get the call, they also get a confirmation on their phone or in their email inbox. You stating that you guys have received that information and we'll call them, call them as soon as possible so that I have that happened to me, this fee, the sales person calls them, qualifies them, hopefully sets an appointment and so forth.
Right. Then after that we can also do that, the followup process to the homeowner fully automated maybe once a week or twice a month. You send them a followup. He do with text or with the email as well. And then finally what pinks and is that you can also start to do retargeting online. So you can start to brand your business and you can start to everyone that has seen your ad, your webs and just ones you can continue to show them ads continuously. So Facebook ads every single day. Instagram ads, every single day. Then ads across the entire web as well every single day. And you want, you want to do both selling ads where you like pitch a fee estimate, but you want to mix that with the branding as well. So you want to do high call the videos and build eh branding and control the perception of your company.
So now that you have this, you have, you understand how the big data works, you know how the algorithm works and you have an online sales system in place. Now it's time for you to actually start to drive traffic and that, that's point number four. You need to learn how to drive traffic into this big data, into this Facebook algorithm, and eventually into your online sales system. So how do you drive traffic? How do you build the campaigns the right way on the Facebook advertising platform? Well, the biggest mistake that most people do is that they build the campaigns, complete them the wrong way, and they don't know simply because they don't know how the algorithm works and that they don't know how to work with this big data and machine learning and that, how do I know that? They don't know that well, they're not feeding the algorithm enough variation.
So a big mistake is that they're just doing like one ad with one image on one text. So they have like they're feeding the algorithm one variation and they're targeting a very small audience and they're targeting a very specific type of person in their area. So they're just narrowing it down. Then you know that when the algorithm comes there and trying to to optimize things for them, they have just narrowed it down to so small audience, like five to 10,000 people in their audience because the human things that they are helping the algorithm by narrowing it down as much as possible. But that's a completely wrong way to do it. You want to feed that the algorithm enough variations. You want to feed them a lot of bigger audiences within your area and one of you want to, yeah, we basically just want to feed the algorithm enough variations and then you want to see how it, how it optimizes.
They want to see if it's doing a good job or a bad job. And then you want to cut away the things that do not work so well and when to start to duplicate and optimize the things that are working well. So that's really what it comes down to. Like figure out how it works. Build out the online sales system. Start building online advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram the right way. Start to drive a ton of traffic test. Make it better, test, make it better, test, make it better over time, you're going to get super good results. You know, I'm talking about 10 to $20 exclusive leads. We are within the solar business. That's what our customers are getting. So when you do that 10 do you just look at your ROI because you're tracking everything and you just ask yourself if you want to scale things.
So you might start with $25 per month and eventually you might be spending $20,000 per month or even more. So that's the cool thing with an online sales system like this and with online ads is that, you know, when you have this automation in place, you can scale it to the moon because there's not going to be any human components in there that you know you have to scale with new staff because everything is automated. So you can just scale it as much as you want to and just get as much job as as you can handle essentially.
