But for today and have an awesome video for vie for you guys, I'm going to talk about different ways that you can get exclusive and qualified roofing leads or solely to buy business in 2020 and beyond. So let's dive right into it. So the first thing that I want to talk about is that you should set up a cold traffic campaign on Facebook.
So why you placed Facebook? Why not do Google SEO? Why not do Google paper click want to do lead gen sites or why not do these offline marketing message? Right? Well let me just break it down for you real quick. So lead generation websites in a home advisor and Angie's list porch works and all of these ones, I'm sure you have some experience with them. Nobody likes them. You know you get duplicate leads that are crazy expensive you can do in branding. So don't do any lead insights. Google is super competitive for the roof and the solar industry. Right now everyone's doing Google ads and pretty much everyone has an SEO desire and this worldwide. So the competition of Google is insane. And if we just, if you just escaped the competition on Google or with the Facebook and figure that out, you can get a ton of, a lot better results a lot quicker.
You can, instead of paying 80 to $130 to do, to get lead using home advisor and Google, you can get leads on Facebook, high quality roofing, solar leads on Facebook. And we have homeowners that are active in certain food services for between 10 to $20 and then then you can just stay there consistent. Plus you can do branding on Facebook and social media advertising as well, which is insane. And I, I'm not talking against Google completely. I'm a big believer in SEO. I know that escrow works for a ton of different industries. Um, but it's just that everyone in the roofing industry is doing it. So if you're going to start to try and rank for a roofer in Dallas, Fort worth or whatever city or state you're in, it's going to be tough because everyone is trying to do it. So I wouldn't bet my money on that.
First I would figure out Facebook advertising and social media advertising first. Get that to work with knowing the, well then when you grow and you can grow with predictability on the social media platform, when you figured that out and you have some more money to spend, then I would go over and spend some more into a longterm strategy like SQL 40 and then, you know, offline marketing methods, you know, TV, radio commercials, super expensive. You cannot really attract anything or print, you know, we have, uh, you know, direct mail campaigns or billboards or magazines or whatever and I might be right. Or you have those other outbound marketing methods like door knocking and call centers and truth be told like, no one likes to be door knocked anymore. And definitely nobody likes to be cold called. So we're gonna recommend that you go that route, neither, especially in 20, 20 when like we have social media and we have, everyone is staring down the phone all day.
So why would you spend a ton of money on offline, right? So figure out how to do social media marketing and set up a cold traffic campaign on Facebook. And what I mean by cold is basically that you're trying to find new people. They're essentially, so try and find the homeowners in the area that are actively searching for your services and tried to target them on Facebook and social media. Figure that out because you're going to get a lot more results for your dollars in advertising dollars essentially. And if you want to know exactly how to do that, like what to write in the ads and what audiences to target, how to set up an online sales system and how to automate everything with marketing automation and AI, you can head over to our website. Point number two that I want to talk about is that you need to figure out how to convert the cold traffic from Facebook with into leads with some type of online sales system.
So when you start to do online advertising, you don't want to lead it to just come into it to an email inbox right away or you don't. You don't want to just to just leave it into an Excel sheet. What you want to do is that you want to have something about type of online sales system at least that is automated with AI and machine learning and big data and so forth, and marketing automation. So when you generate a lead, you stored them into a CRM system immediately. Then you can do the followup process and the nurturing process via text and email will do automatically. You can also send out the lead information to your saints. Reps will automatically, and you can also send out confirmation emails and text to the homeowners needed before they automatically, you have a proven system that converts practically to leads and converts leads into customers, right?
And all of this has happening automatically. So you store all, all of the leads in the CRM system as well. So you don't have all of leads scattered in your email inbox, which is super, super bad. You want to continue to nurture the leads. It doesn't convert initially. So that's the second thing. And we have an awesome sales system in place and when you figure out how to have the automated right, but utilizing those modern marketing techniques like marketing automation, if not only become super powerful, but it becomes like a lot of fondness wall because you can just set it up one, leave it and then it will, it will pretty much runs for itself, which is awesome. The third thing that I want to talk about is that you need to follow up with leads. The non-converted you did, this ties into the online sales system, right?
So you know a lot of people say that money is in the followup, right? And yeah, that is true, but if you're going to do bunch of manual followup, it's going to be time consuming. It's going to be tedious. It's not going to be the most efficient way to do it. So that's why you want to automate that with computers as well. And you can do personalized followup utilizing the text and email. You can send that out until they convert into a lead and the marketing automation with figure out who is actually who hasn't converted into customer yet. And then you can follow up with different peoples in different ways, which is awesome. So you basically want to do that within this online sales system. You drive traffic into it, you tried to convert them into a lead, you're trying to put more leads into customers.
If they don't convert into customer, you want to follow up with that money. You want to have a proven system in place or that Norman leads all through the cracks. Right. And um, again, if you want to know how to do that, how to set it up once with the super user plug and play system that is proven and is working super, super well, specifically for the roof and the solar industry. You didn't go to our website and check that out. The fourth thing that I want to talk about is retargeting in and that you should retarget on all platforms out there, especially on the social media platforms. So what is retargeting? You might ask, well, if someone comes to your website, whether if that's from a Facebook advertising opinion or if you're doing Google and driving traffic to your website, that way maybe you're doing paper click or maybe doing SEO.
Maybe you're doing some type of billboards. You have magazines with different campaigns or TV and radio commercials where you mentioned in your URL, however you get traffic and eyeballs to your business website. Let's say what you can do now is that when someone lands on your website and just spends a second there, you can save that person and you can start to show that person ads. So they will start to see Facebook ads from you every single day. Instagram ads, every single day. You can show Google display banner ads all across the web every single day. We can do YouTube video retargeting every single day if you want to. So you, there's just endless ways that you can do retargeting and the results are super powerful, right? Imagine a homeowner just comes to your website, they check the scroll through website very, very quickly and they then they leave your website, right?
They go down for dinner or something, the next time they log into their Facebook account or Instagram account or the YouTube or they go to their favorite website, they would start to see advertisements from everywhere. So that builds your brand awareness a lot that also, you know, makes it easier for homeowners in the area to start to like you and start to trust you. So, um, and also what you can do with retargeting on, especially on Facebook and Instagram, is that you can share videos, right? And on YouTube as well of course. And videos are great to retarget with because you can, you can you place branding videos in those retargeting ads, right? So you can, you can have high quality branding videos that you, that you record for your business and you want to start to tie that emotional connection to homeowners in your area so you don't necessarily have to pitch or sell in anything in those videos.
You just want people to see and start to like you to start to trust you and ultimately feel like they know you. Because if you can get a homeowner in your area or in around your state it to feel like they know you before they ever decide to do business with you, you will notice a huge jump in in sales conversion rates. It will be a lot easier to close in and sell to people when when you have that emotional attachment tied to them simply by doing branding videos on those retargeting. It's insanely, insanely powerful and we've tested it for our customers and our customers have tested it for themselves as well. And when you start to do branding and social media and retarget people on, on all platforms that have been to your website, just once you start to share brand new content, it's insane.
It's, it's super, super fun and it's cheap as well. It's like a hundred times more powerful than doing TV commercials 4,000 times from powerful and it's like it costs just a couple of pins, just a couple of cents to get a high quality wheel view from a homeowner in your area that are actively searching for the services. The fifth and final thing that I want to talk about is that you should skip lead generation websites, right? And I talked about this when I started the video, but if you really want to take your advertising to that next level in 2020 it really comes down to cutting away everything that is not working in more and all of these old techniques and all of these super competitive platforms that everyone is doing them. So again, like home advisor and porch and Angie's list and all of these lead generation websites, they're probably the worst type of [inaudible] privatizing you can do because they generally do get leads are super expensive, right?
So cut that away. But I would also recommend that if you're spending a ton on Google paper, click right now and a lot of Google SEO, if you feel like it's costing you a ton, it's a lot of pay people leads and you don't really feel like it's working that well, cut that away and start to figure out the Facebook advertising game instead. You know, instead of paying eight $130 per lead on those platforms, you can get high quality leads, real leads on Facebook, real homeowners that are actively searching for your services. And we show you exactly how to target those people on our website by utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning. So you can actually identify people that are actively searching for your services on Facebook, advertise to them and you instead of paying $830,000 per lead, you can get leads for between 10 to $20 and then stay there consistently.
Um, and then also if you're still relying upon, you know, offline, so if you're still, there's a lot of roofing solid contractors that stale, their only type of advertising is word of mouth. And yeah, I guess that's fine if you want to kind of be stagnant where you act right now in terms of revenue. But if you want to scale things to that next level, you need advertising, you need to spend money on advertising. And I'm sure that you're aware of that as well. So if you're only depending on referrals, you should also head over to social media and figure out the paid advertising game. And also if you're doing, you know, even radio commercials and print and all of that, I would also cut that away. It's too old school, right? Nobody likes to be door knocking, cold calling. So that's pretty much it for today's video.
Hopefully you enjoyed it.
