I want to talk about why I don't buy one from the solar max. I thought you just told me that you sell well. No, I don't. I don't sell any leads at all.
Actually what I do and what we do at each one from the commies that we teach, roofers how to escape those lead generation websites, form adviser and marketing agencies and escaping the competition from Google with pay-per-click and SEO, escaping those offline marketing methods and those outbound call centers and door knocking and direct mail. We help them to save all of that old school nonsense nonsense that is on efficient calls cost a bunch of money doesn't really work anymore and it's just old. This is the new thing, right? Everyone is spending time here, so why would you send up flyers? It doesn't make sense, but so what we do, we don't sell an insight. I don't tell any leads at all, but I do and more what we do at each within from the Palm trees that we teach you the roof from a solar contractor.
How do you place this thing? How do you set up an online sink system for your business that you've sold? We just show you how you can do it so that you own it yourself. Then we show you how you create your own campaigns on Facebook and social media and how you drive traffic, what you write in the ads, what type of message you have and what type of targeting you should do, how you do branding, how you do referrals. We'd show you how to do everything. You don't have any licenses to usher anything. We just show you how to do it yourself so that you don't need guys like me anymore. Because the truth is that marketing automation and machine learning can do it for you. This is your 20 person marketing agency that you can have in house working for you. You don't need, you don't need to outsource a marketing agency to do for you to sell you a bunch of leads that are duplicates, expensive, low quality, they are cold.
You are not doing any branding or stuff like that, right? So in this video, I want to talk about why I don't do, why I don't buy leads and why you shouldn't buy. So the point number one is that they're do pickup. So when you buy a lead from home advice or Angie's list or when you hire a marketing agency and they come to you and they say, Hey, we have a great deal for you. We can sell you leave, you're not going to hire us and you are not going to pay us a monthly fee. You're just gonna. We're just going to get and give you leads and then we can do a pay per lead type of agreement. Sounds great. You're going to have to pay anything up front. You just pay for the leads that are coming in. But what they're not telling you is that you're missing out on on a bond, on a, on a, on an array of things. The first thing is that this agency or home advisor, you know that the lead for home advisor or duplicate, right, and if you hire an agency and they're going to sell you means more often than not, they'll tell you, yeah, we can send you exclusive needs or we can send you
semi exclusive leads and what that, what that means is that they are duplicate. They aren't going to sell it to you. And then some other contractors and they sell, you know, if they tell you you're going to sell to two people, they would probably be selling it to five people then the woods. Right?
It's just you don't have any guarantee that the needs are exclusive to you, which is instinct. So that's why I don't buy in the lead. That's why you shouldn't buy in the leads. And um, so yeah, that's the first one. You don't have any, any guarantee that they've got the means or excuse me, imminent. Even if they say that the liters are exclusive, there are cold. So that brings me to the second point of that is that those leaps that you buy that don't, they don't build your brand. You know, if you buy a lead from an agency and they have generated the lead under the wrong page and under the middle there is an teach because that's really how it worked, right? They go out to the market, they generate the lead, then they distributed them, sell it to different groups and contractors. And that means that you're not doing any brand-building when you're buying those things.
The agency is doing the branding part. They are generating the leads. They have the website or the logo that the homeowner sees, right? Just see from the homeowner's perspective, they see an ad on Facebook, gender free estimate. They see a logo, the see some type of company, the often per three roof replacements estimate and then some other you the contractor contacts them and they're like, Hey, but I thought I saw this loan over [inaudible] but you know it's a, that's the way it works. It's just insane. So you're not doing any branding simultaneously as you advertise for lead, which is, and what we teach you how to do and what are what I do for my own business and what these marketing agencies are doing for their own businesses as well, is that you should own a control, your own advertising. The former owner that sees you should have your own ads on Facebook.
People should see your logo, they should see your, your videos. They should should see your branded content on Facebook. That's how you build a relationship. That's how you build your Brian, some Athena's guy that's you advertise from the East. That's how you gain trust. That's how people will start to like you from the brand and content and from the ads and that's how you do more business. That's how you grow. You set up your own online sales system, you figure out how to do your own profit. You figure out how to do all of that under your own brand and on the onward own website and automated with computers. Don't do that by buying leads from someplace.
It might sound good and easy and you think you're gonna dominate dormitory area from Doosan. Find those leads, but no, don't do that. The third thing, the third reason why I don't buy leads is simply because they are expensive, right? You have a middle hand right now. If you buy the leads from them from an agency and that is sell you paper or they say they have a paper lead type of service, obviously the leads are going to be expensive. You know, this agency can generate these four between tendencies,
find the dollars and then they sell them to you or $70 or $80 or sometimes even more. Home environment is like $130 so why would you buy those cold leads that don't build around four 80 to $130 when you can just set up an advertising system that you own yourself, that you'll control yourself and that is run by computers and you can start generating leads for between 10 to $20 that also builds your brand. And then also, you know, gives people on homeowners in your area a chance to actually find a contractor in their area that are local and that they like and trust. And one of the businesses it's like, why don't you do that? You need to figure out how to do that. Especially now when everyone's walking down with their noses and this like, yeah, don't bite me. It's expensive. They're lower quality, the conversion rates are worse. It doesn't build your brand. It's just an array of bad thing. Don't buy. The fourth thing is that it's very unofficial, right? So if you buy a lead, they've just going to send you the lead to your inbox, right? You sign up with a lead generation type of agency,
you start to pay per lead. They just send you the lead into the inbox. You get the lead to try to call them, hopefully close them. If you don't, you'll have to follow up with them. Now you have to figure out the online sales system yourself. Do you have an online? Do you like, what do you do with the lead? You save them into the CRM system to follow up with them.
Can you retarget them? What it even is retargeting, they might ask like, do you build your audience? Do you do that? Like what do you do with the need? Once you actually, generally, it's very on efficient, eh, you don't have an only same system in place. It's just a big mess. Again, cutaway, cutaway that buy, don't buy lead. Instead, set up your own online sales system. Start to generate your own leads under your own brand. Figure out the targeting, figure out the messaging. Uh, figure out the branding part. Set up an online sleep system for your business that you own, the control yourself.
Automate this system with marketing automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence. You can utilize big data as well to find people that are in market, but the most important thing, make your business efficient and systemized by owning your own business and automated by computers. Because now when you generate the lead, once it comes in, you have a proven, you have a process place that happens every single time. So you can send out the confirmation email and text messages to the homeowner,
made it immediately. You send out the lead information to your sales reps, fully automated immediately. You can do the entire followup process through the homeowner, fully automated immediately. And you can also do the retargeting to show people ads across the entire infinite all the time that I've seen your ads once you can just systemize this entire past. So, uh, yeah, hopefully this makes sense. And these are the reasons why I don't buy leads for my business. I would never buy. It's insane. Why would they do that? And you shouldn't do that needed. Um, you know the guys who are winning on selling leads are the the platforms. You know, if, if, if I would start a service and start doing a pay per lead service for roofing solar contractors. Yes. Who makes the most money? Obviously I do because I generate one lead. Then I sell that same leads to five different people and I take, if I generate it
for 10 to $20, I sell it to for $70. Do you think the contractors are going to win or do you think I am going to win? Yeah, it's pretty obvious, so escaped that shit too. Excuse my French, but don't do that. You need to figure out how to
set up in our own the system yourself. That's how you do it. That's how you, that's how you take your business to that next level. If you're serious, if we're more wanting to build a great business, you should set up your own systems and own your own system. Why do you think that you haven't basis the Amazon CEO? Why do you think he built everything himself? He built everything himself. All the software that he uses. I think he has like his own like planes. He has like his own distribution centers is he has his own and warehouses. He builds everything himself. He don't outsource anything. He don't buy. And he built everything himself so that he owns and controls everything himself. And if you want, if you are serious about your business and if you want to take it to that next level, that's what you should do as well. Just look at the wealthiest people in the world. See what they're doing. You know they're not hiring.
