Alright. So we're going live. Just want to check that everything is working before actually don't do it. I'm going to do a presentation today about how you can scale your contract, your business in 2020 by utilizing social media marketing and a predictable lead generation system. And yeah, that is what I'm going to talk about today. I just want to make sure here real quickly that the live stream is working. Seems to be working on Facebook. Let me check LinkedIn real quick.

And there we go from slide. So this is I'm going to do a presentation at today's. I have some slides down. I'm going to go through and I'll do a presentation like this every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, [inaudible] Friday. Every Monday I do a presentation like this one every time. Tuesday and Thursday I do actually a a a build campaign. Say the Facebook business manager on Monday is a kind of show you there 30,000 foot view of how everything works. Tuesday and Thursday actually build it for you. So I should kind of show you how it works. And then on Fridays to do a presentation like this one again, and if you've never seen it before, my name is max Pearson and I run a company called the truth Netcom where we not, we don't only help roofers, we help solar contractors and other types of contractors as well. We have painters and you know, people doing siding, gutters or fencing and all types of contractor services. If you're a contractor this video will be for you. And we help contractors mainly with social media marketing and how to set up an inbound marketing system that you can set up for your business so that you own and control it yourself.
And then you can spend money into the system to generate more leads and calls in the more predictable way. And that's what I'm going to talk about here today. So without ado, let's dive into it. So how to scale your contractor business in 2020 by utilizing social media marketing. So this is what most contractors do. They do like lead generation websites you know, home advisor and just list porch.
It's a or works or solar reviews.com. There's a ton of them. It's also very popular for contractors to do Google, right? So Google SEO or Google ads is very popular. The problem with Google since it's so popular makes it coming more expensive all the time. Everyone is trying to rank and pay for the same keyword. So it's becoming more expensive, takes longer time to get results. And it's tough. It's very competitive on Google right now with the contractor industry. Then a lot of contractors are still doing offline marketing, so we have like TV, radio, billboards, call centers, direct mail campaigns, door knocking, magazines, print, you know, a ton of different things. Right. and then kind of the fourth and final thing is that it's very popular to, you know, hire an agency to do the work for you. And a lot of contractors out there have a bad, bad experiencing, bad experience hiring marketing agencies simply because most marketing agencies out there are generalists, meaning they help everyone with everything, right?
They help contractors and dentists, lawyers and you know, gyms, consultants, financial advisors, accountants, ton of different industries. And then they have like a ton of different services as well, right? So they have like you know, Facebook ads or Google ads or SEO or content marketing inbound or outbound landing pages, web design. Yeah, I'm sure you get the point. They have like a ton of different services to a ton of different industries. And then the cake claimed to be like experts at everything and that's why it so many contractors out there. They hire these agencies. It looks really good from the outside, but then when it actually comes to delivering results, nothing happens. They don't rank and Google and pay them a monthly advantage sign up for months and it's just a big mess rate. So yeah, this is what most roofing is. Whole contractors do and general contractors, all types of contractors and this more often than not, he generates duplicate leads to more often than not very expensive leads like 80 to $130 for duplicate leads, sometimes even more.
It doesn't build your brand. It's tough to build your brand utilizing home advisor or Google. It's very tough to build your brand new placing TV and radio as well. It's expensive. I like building our brand in your neighbor door is tough. You can't really track the results by doing this. It's if you, let's say you do a billboard, you do some direct mail, you do some Google SEO, some magazines and TV commercials, and then you have home advisor. You're throwing basically thrown, just throwing a bunch of money at the wall, but you can track the results. So when you start to get some calls, you don't really know where, where the calls are coming from or where the leads are coming from. So it's almost impossible for you to know. Yeah, it's, it's impossible for you to know what leverage the poll. If you want to scale it.
Should I spend more into direct mail? Should I spend more into the TV commercial or should I spend more into to the SEO? And since you don't know whether leads are coming from, it's impossible for you to track the results and scale things especially. And also the final, and the biggest problem here is that most contractors out there, they do no social media marketing. They have like a Facebook page set up and they have maybe an Instagram account set up and you know, maybe YouTube channel with one video on it. They have like the profiles set up. Maybe they'll have some posts, but they're not doing any like paid advertising companies. They're not marketing themselves in social media, which is a big mistake.
So, so why is not doing social media a big mistake? Well, right now the average American spends three hours per day on social media. That's the average American, that's like small kids to my grandmother. The average American currently spends three hours per day on social media. That's quite insane. And then on top of that, they spend like three hours per day on their phones, just like five to six hours per day. And that the everyday American spends on just browsing their phones. Right now social media. So with that in mind, you know the social media, you know in social media, marketing is the future of advertising. At the end of the day, that's how you got here. That's how you got to my website. That's if you're seeing my retargeting ads right now, social media all the way. So with that in mind, if the average American currently spends three hours per day on social media, homeowners in your area spends three hours per day on social, on social media, your target market, then why aren't you advertising there?
So this is what successful contractors do. They instead of just relying upon like referrals instead of just sitting at their office every single day and just hoping for referrals to come in or hoping for their phone to call or hoping for their home advisor ads to start working or hoping for their SEO agency to get some better ranking instead of just sitting away sitting around and hoping they have an automated and predictable online sales system in place, they can basically spend money to make money. So spend money into the system and once they get the system tuned in, they know how much they need to spend to generate X amount of phone calls and ultimately X amount of dollars.
So, and they also have a system like this to generate lucid leads, so normal duplicate leads and they can generate exclusive leads for between 10 to $20 instead of $830 and they do this lead generation under their own brand. So they're not utilizing like a third party agency or third party lead generation website or they're not utilizing like a billboard or anything like that. They are doing all of their advertising, owning their own system under their own brand. So when they show their ad on Facebook to a homeowner, they have their logo, their, their company name, their image, and their body copy. So they're also branding their business. 17 is the S they advertise for me, which is a game changer. And not a lot of contractors are doing this. They also escaped the competition. So what I mean by that is that they escaped the competition on Google.
They move away from Google, maybe not entirely, but they don't spend as much time and energy and money into it. Instead they move over to Facebook and social media is that where the competition is a lot lower and then they start to spend their advertising Tyson dollars in there instead because they understand that the future of advertising is in social media marketing. They understand that the average American currently spends three hours per day on social media and they also know that most contractors are not aware of that. So they have a huge leg up on their competitors, are still competing on Google is spending a ton of money into Google and offline the escape that move over to social media and take advantage of it. And then the final thing is that they also branding themselves as social media. So they stop spending like thousands and thousands of dollars into into TV and radio commercials and then they start to brand themselves on social media.
So I've got a question here from Mason asking, do you offer 10 to $20 exclusive leads for roofing? So the way we do Mason is that I don't sell leads the way. What we do at lead through from the comments that we have an online training program where we actually teach contractors, not only roofing as solar contractors, but all types of contractors. We teach them how they can set up the system that I have on the screen right here so that the contractor themselves owns this system so that they themselves can generate leads for between 10 to $20. So we don't sell anybody any leads. We just, we've done this system for contractors for over four years now. So now we just teach contractors how they can set this system up for themselves and generate exclusive leads for themselves. So that's, that's what we do.
We educate people how they can do themselves essentially. Hopefully that makes sense. Glad to have you here. By the way, Mesa, let me know if you have any more questions. So yeah, let me just break it down. How the system works really quickly. So you spend money into Facebook ads and Facebook. By Facebook I mean Instagram as well. Facebook owns Instagram. So that's, that's the same, you spend money to Facebook ads. You basically have an ad where you pitch you know, get a free estimate or free roof inspection. And in an ad you have the headline, you had body copy and you have an image or video. And you need to craft that ad the correct way so that you can actually generate the response from the homeowner. And that's what we teach a big portion of our program in our course is teaching contractors have to craft those hands in the right way and also to do the targeting the right way. So how do you actually, first of all, how do you craft ad and then how do you get the ad in front of the, in front of a homeowner?
So Mason's rights. Thanks. Do you have a do it for you program? Yeah. Okay. Do it for your program. Yes, sure. So I started out as like a done for you agency, right. Where we actually did this for contractors for, I did that for, yeah, like three years and I'm still doing it for some of my oldest clients and that I'd been working at working with for the longest period of time. So I'm still doing this for contractors mainly roofers and I'm still kind of having my finger on the pulse, if you will, or just to kind of keep up to date myself. But I'm mainly focusing on my programmer right now where we teach the exact same system that I've been running for contractors. We teach the exact same thing. The only difference is that you just need to go through the program to go through the setup process yourself, which normally takes between, we have some of our customers do it.
If they ride the quick hit maybe take like takes like a week. And if you're watching like an hour per day while simultaneously running your business business, it takes like four and a half weeks max. But then after that, this system is pretty much run in court South, right? So the ads run front for themselves. You know the CRM system right here, which has marketing automation, it does the follow up process for you automatically. It sends out the leads to you and your sales reps reps will automatically, and also the retargeting that I've talked about here in a second, that also happens for itself. So short answer, no, I don't have it. We have we have this program and where we teach you where you can do it yourself. And then automated. So hopefully that makes sense.
So yeah, so we spend money to Facebook ads, we show contractors how to do the ads, how to do the targeting and then we drive that traffic to conversion lead for her. So basically no, the homeowners see the ad, they click on the ad and that lead form pops up where they can put their name, email, phone address and more questions. If you want to like sip code or if you're a solar company, maybe you'll want to ask them about their current electric bill or do they have shading on the roof or whatever. [inaudible] If you're another type of contractor, maybe you have specific questions that you want to ask to qualify the homeowner before we get them on the phone. And then once that is done, the homeowner puts in the information for Fiesta Metro for the inspection then they click send and then that information gets saved into your CRM system automatically.
So you don't need like an office manager to do that for you manually all the time. This happens for itself. And then the CRM system has something called marketing automation. So it will do a lot of heavy lifting for you and not marketing automation. It's like having a, an in house marketing team working for you, but it's done by computers instead. So the marketing automation will send the lead information out to you and your sales reps. We have texts or email if you want to so that you get the lead into your phone in real time so that you can call the homeowner immediately. Once you receive that exclusive lead generator under your own brand and a website, you can call the homeowner, you know, they will be expecting your call. You can qualify them some more if you want to. You can set their appointment and then do your thing.
So ultimately now you have like a, a proven process that you can expend money into. And once you get this honed in, now you can spend money to make money. And then to the left here, the CRM system also simultaneously as it sends out the need to you and your sales reps. It would also send out the [inaudible] information message to the homeowner. So you know, Hey Jenny, thank you so much for you know, opting in for a fee estimate. We will we will be in touch with you shortly if you want to speak with our friendly team man right away you can call this number and then you can even include some more information there. Maybe have like a coupon condom code you want to include or whatever normally be. And then that's it. And they can also do this with text and email.
And then over time you can also follow up with the need. So if the lead doesn't convert initially, then you can continue to follow up with them for the automatically. And then finally is the retargeting on all platforms. So this basically means that if you spend money into Facebook ads and somebody see your ad on Facebook the next day or next time they log into Instagram, they will see an ad from you there as well. If they log into LinkedIn, you can have an retargeting ad there as well. If you go a go to YouTube, you can have an ad there as well. And if they go to their favorite website, whatever that might be, you can have a Google display banner ad showing up as well. So you become like omnipresent. You appear everywhere for the homeowner that I've seen or been to your website just once. Now they will start to see you guys, which is great for branding but also to be top of mind and yeah, just follow them around.
So that's it. And then just a quick intro about myself getting, so I help, I've mainly been helping roofing and solar contractors, but now we help, you know, people doing siding and gutters and fencing and each bag and plumbing and air conditioning and a ton of different things. And we help them to get more leads, more customers, and ultimately help them to scale their businesses to that next level by utilizing this predictable and automated system that we showed you. So Eric, what's up Eric? Nice to see you. So you say not seeing any video on YouTube and see you in Facebook though home. That's weird. I can see that you wrote this, this comment on YouTube should be working on YouTube maybe. Yeah, it should work. Thank you for the comment though.
And what we do is that we help them to generate leads for between 10 to $20 and ultimately more customers obviously in a more predictable than on demand. So then we have some customer testimonials, so I'm just going to go through them quickly. We have some videos as well offer each of these ones that you can see obviously on our website if you want to. But here's Austin Miller and he runs a company called [inaudible] solar and they've been utilizing our system for the past one and a half years now. They were doing a lot of lead generation websites and mostly like offline marketing. I think before they started to do our program and doing social media marketing and they went from low seven to eight figures within the first 90 days of doing this transition from Legion sites to social media marketing, you had to hire like 10 new sales guys immediately to be able to cover, keep up with the new demand. They've now expanded territory all over their state and they've completely scale their business. And the second one is Justin Shelton from Mullins roofing. They've been utilizing our system for the past two and a half years now. And they are a top 100 roofing contractor over the past five years in a row. They run a great, great business. They are one of the bigger ones in Florida. And yeah, they've been utilizing our system now for quite a long period of time. And they were previously doing a lot of home advisor, a lot of Google paper click and a lot of SEO. They're still doing all the paper click [inaudible] they're just such a big company. Right. so they can
Pretty much dominate all of the different platforms, but they're not depending upon Google as heavily as they did previously. Now they're mostly doing Facebook
And generate lingual stuff, their needs from Facebook advertising. They also used to do a lot of TV and radio and they were also doing home advisor generating $130 duplicates. And here's a really fun fact, right? For interesting fact, back in 2018 or 17, they spent like $50,000 per month to advertising doing home advisor, goofball team radio and duplicate. And yeah, those lead sources that I just talked about, 50 grand a month. Now they're spending less than 20 grand a month to social media, which is still a lot of money, right? But it's less than half than they used to do and they're getting more leads. The number, they're only getting exclusive leads and they can also brand themselves simultaneously for that amount of money on Facebook and social media. So they don't need to spend, you know, a ton of money to team or radio anymore to Dubrovnik.
They can do all of this on social media. And yet now they only utilize Facebook and social media or mainly I should say they're, they're still doing simply because they can and they have done an awesome growth from the company in 2016 they made $14 million revenue last year. They made $27 million. Well that's according to roofing contractor dot. Call me if you want to check it out yourself. Not saying that our system is the main reason behind that. Not at all. Obviously they have some great business operations in place and they are having an awesome service in place. But they are also utilizing our system mainly out to generate the leads from and they've been doing so far by long period of time. It's working really good for them and they're generating, generating exclusive roofing leads right now from Facebook for between 10 to $15. They're getting a lot of exclusive and if you want to hear from Justin himself, I have a video testimonial from him on our website that you can go and check out the truth from the com if you want to hear from his own words.
And then the final guy that I want to talk about here before I continue is Edward Rowlands from professional grade roofing siting in Atlanta, Georgia. And he joined our program just before Christmas and yeah, he basically joined the program. Speaking became quiet. I didn't hear from him. That's normally what happens when people join our program. They do, they join, they become quiet since they're going through doctoral course levels. The same thing when Edward, and then after like four weeks, I just got a message from him where he basically said that, Hey, we're generating $20 a roof roof from leads right now. And we closed no two sales within the first two weeks as well, which resulted in over $24,000 in saints. So yeah, and you can see his message charge right here. And he used to spend like 120 $240 per lead on Google and now that he's getting leads for $20 and that's only two weeks in the program, some short Edward is going to get even better results as the time goes on because things, you know, things compound over time. And then we have some more results here from other contractors that we utilize in our program. So let's continue now. So the two things that you need for success when you do marketing, the first thing is you need high quality converting and targeted traffic. So what do I mean by that? Well, you need, if you have a service or product that you sell, you need to get traffic to that product or service, right? You need eyeballs, you need humans to see it. You need high quality traffic, basically meet people in your area that are interested and looking for your services, right? So that's a high quality traffic. And then you also need converting traffic. So you're not only need, you know, people are interested in your service, but you need to get your message in front of people that are actually looking to buy your services or people that are in market.
So when you can get traffic from all types of sources, right? You can obviously do Facebook and Instagram ads, which what we teach contractors to do in our program. But you can get traffic from Google as well as your pay per click. You can get traffic from Derek, Nathan beans or TV and radio. All of these ones are traffic sources. You can inbound marketing basically putting content out on the web, whether if that's like a video or a blog post or podcast or in Facebook ad. And then you generate inbound leads that's called inbound marketing. Or you can do outbound marketing, basically cold calling people or door knocking people or doing direct mail campaigns. All of that is outbound marketing. But now when we have technology and internet, obviously the best thing is to do inbound marketing and Facebook ads is what I think is working 10 times better than anything else for contractors right now.
So that's the first thing you need, high quality converting and targeted traffic. And then the second thing is that you need a proven and automated online sales system that will turn that traffic into new leads and ultimately more customers that keep coming back again and again. So you need to generate traffic, then you need to drive the traffic somewhere. Then you need a system run by computers. You don't need to hire a human to do this full time for, you can have a computer to do it for you or marketing automation to generate the traffic. And then you convert that traffic into new leads and ultimately convert those leads into new customers. And if the leads doesn't come right in and the customer and you need to be able to follow up with them and so on and so forth. So that's that. And because it really comes down to this, if you cannot pay money to acquire a new roofing, a solar customer or a contractor customer, then you do not have a business.
And this is something that I learned from one of my own mentors. He basically told me that, Hey, max, you know, if you're starting a business and you know, you create a service or equate a product, you launch it, you create everything that you need. You have all of the business operations in place, you have, or if I have a product, you have all of the shipping details in place. You have everything in place. And now you want to scale it. Like if you're just gonna, if your plan is to sit around all day and wait for customers, then you do not have a business. You need to figure out how can I spend money to make money? How can I do that in predictable way and how can I do that on demand? How can I wake up every morning and say, yeah, today I'm going to spend $100 or it's rammed and I spend $300 or $1,000 or however now much, much might be for your business to choir customer, convert that customer at a good price and die way. I can scale my business in a predictable way and on demand, right? And the big contractors out there with like eight figure profits, they have a proven on automated online sales system in place for generating new leads and customers and they know these two numbers down to the dollar. They know the cost to generate a lead and they know the cost to generate a new customer. Pretty much. I would say, like I talked to quite a lot of contracts.
There's every single day between four to six contractors every single day. And yeah, I would say like [inaudible]
95% of them when I ask them like how many leads are you currently getting per month? I'm always getting, yeah, I would, I would guess or I think, or let me check. They don't know how many leads are generating and because of that, they don't know what they're paying per lead. They have no idea. They're pretty much what I showed you in the beginning, right? They presently spending money to taniff and things just throwing money at a wall. They don't know where the leads are coming from. They don't know how many leads they're getting. They don't know how much the paper lead or they are not spent doing in marketing and they're just depending on referrals and they want to start to spend money into, to grow their business. But they don't know how and they don't know how to track it. But it's very important that you can track all the numbers.
Right. How much money do you spend per day? How many leads do you generate per day? How many, how much did you pay per lead? How many appointments did you convert? I'm going to lead you to convert into appointments. What was the conversion rate? How much did you pay per appointment? Did you make any sell, save or sell? How much did you pay per day? That's four to acquire that sale. How much revenue did you collect for the day? How much cash did you collect and what was your ROI? So you need to be able to track these numbers. And so it's tracked to cost, to generate and lead and cost. To generate a new customer is super important because you must have an automated online sales system that can track these two metrics down to the dollar. It's super, super important because when you know these two metrics, you can basically spend money into a system like the one that I showed you and you start to generate calls and over time you will learn, okay, if I spend $100 per day, I'm going to gen generate X amount of calls per day.
If I spend $200 then I'm going to generate X amount of calls per day. So you do that and over time you will really get this system honed in and over time it gets more, gets more predictable and you will know exactly how much you need to spend to generate X amount of calls on demand that with predictable. And by then you basically have a system in place that you've owned yourself, a business in house, so you know exactly how much you need to spend to make X amount of dollars. Okay, now I'm going to hire a new crew and now I'm going to hire two more sales guys. Okay, now I can just ramp up my advertising dollars to X or three X. And now you have like a system in place to feed those sales guys with more leads essentially.
So what does this system look like? Well, I pretty much already covered it, right? But it starts off with the right targeted traffic. So we spoke about what is targeted traffic, what is the right traffic you can do inbound marketing and outbound marketing, what is the best source? And by far, Facebook advertising and social media marketing is the absolute best source right now of contractors. There's even competition. Then the second thing that you need is the right message. Okay, so now we do Facebook advertising. What do you actually write in your ads? How do you craft an ad and how do you show that to homeowners in our area that are looking for services and who do? How do you take them to take action? That's very important as well. Then the third thing is that you need the right video image, so you utilize an image in your ad.
What type of imagery you use. Utilize one of your own images. Do you place a stock image? Do you include people do not include people? Do you show products? Do short your truck? What do you show you show money or do you do video? What do you have in the video? That's the third thing you need to figure out and then also you need to know, have to be targeting. How do you actually identify in March? How do you identify homeowners in your area where you advertise or not only interested in your services, but they are in need of your services and how do you show your ad in front of them or to them?
Because the result of executing this correctly is that you will have an predictable habit, predictable, automated online city system generating exclusive and qualified leads and customers for between 10 to $20 every single day. And you will sometimes even get bad results. That's maybe that may be on the deletes, you can try, but over time everything compounds and you, you might do a homeowner might see your ad on Facebook, but they start to call you miss that. So that might be a lead that you can have a frack. Right. But it's, that's a good thing, right? Because we could try call the police to spend money too. So that is working out and you have have an ROI off that. But then you, then that will snowball. You start to get leads and you can attract, but then they are seen on Facebook, if that makes sense. What I'm trying to say.
You can get even better sense of this. So this is what you need. Essentially if you want to crack the code, if you want to execute the system correctly, that I've shown you. If you want to figure this out, you need to figure out these five things. So the message, what do you write in the ads targeting should be huge. How do you target homeowners who are in market in your area? Third thing, the media like yeah, and by media basically mean do utilize videos or images, but also do you utilize Google or Facebook? Right? And so what media do you use? And then you need an automator only sales system. So how do you put something like this together? What components do you use? How do you do utilize marketing automation? How do you automate it? How do you glue everything together and how do you automate it?
So that's the automated online sales system. And then the final thing is the social branding system. So how do you brand yourself on social media? How do you move away from TV and radio commercials? And how do you start to do branding and social media and why do you even do prac? Why is branding important? And th there's a ton of interesting things that you can learn about branding. You can just look into like Nike or look into Apple or Coca Cola or all of these big brands and see how, how they do branding and why they do branding. And White's effective to the branding. And it's basically to control the perception of your company. So if you're not controlling the perception of your company, then homeowners in your area, you have no idea what they're thinking about your company and what they are thinking about you and your company will have a huge impact on your sales conversions and your revenue and your coach and your business growth.
So if you do branding really, really well, and if you control the perception of your company, real, real, real, real, real well cannot speak you will, you know, homeowner, homeowners in your area will start to like you and trust you and ultimately feel like they know you. And if you can get an ad in front of a homeowner, it feels like they know you, your sales conversions will go up a ton. So just think about yourself. If you go out to a homeowner and they already feel like they know you, do you think it's going to be harder or easier for your sales guy to close that sale? It's pretty self explanatory. Or so you could either like figure this out, these five things for yourself. You can basically guess the combination yourself, right? So here's the lock and there's five different digits and we have to find different things that you need to figure out.
And if you're going to figure these out five digits for yourself, there are over 100,000 different combinations that you can do.
