Here are seven signs that you're advertising the right way for your roofing, a solar company.

But for today's video, I want to talk about seven signs that you're advertising the right way in 2020 and beyond for your roof in the solar company. So let's dive into it. So the first sign that you're doing something right here is that you have an online sales system in place, right? You need to have an online sales system in place that you can drive traffic to and convert people into new customers.
If you don't have that, you need to fix that right away because if you're still doing offline marketing or utilizing these lead generation websites out there or you're outsourcing everything to in to marketing agency, then don't then don't do anything under your brand and honor your website. You need to seriously stop doing that because it's not a good, it's not a good way to go. Now when we move over to social media advertising and yeah, it's just stopped that lead generation sites bad or bad, you need your own online system and your own online sales system that you own and control yourself because when we do advertising online nowadays, we start to drive traffic to your online sales system. We started get more eyeballs to accompany from Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube or banner ads or whatever and I might be right. We start to get a ton of traffic to your website and you need an online sales system in place that convert that traffic into new customers in a predictable way.
And we can also automate this system so you can have marketing automation and artificial intelligence working for you. Instead of having a 20 person in house marketing team working for, you don't need that anymore. You just need a computer. You need to automate your own online sales system so you can put new people into the CTRM system fully automatically. You don't need to do that manually anymore. You can send out confirmation emails and text messages to sales reps, automate that entire process. You can also automate the entire process to the homeowner, to the customer, sending out confirmation emails, text messages. We can do the followup process for the auto. Mathematically, you can do the retargeting fully, automatically as it's called. So you appear everywhere all the time for people that have already interacted with your brand and business just once. So that's the first thing that you need to figure out.

If you're not having, if you're not automating your business right now, and if you are, you haven't systemized it in terms of advertising, you're missing out big time. But because the core thing about marketing automation is as mentioned, it's like having a 20 person marketing team working for you, but it's automated by computers.
And the cool thing about computers is that they never complain. They run 24 seven they do the same thing over and over again. They don't have any errors and it's just streamlined the system I used. Marketing automation is truly the future when it comes to advertising and automation in general is true that the future about business and about life. So if you're not having marketing automation and police right now for your business, you need to get that fixed. You need to know how to implement marketing automation into your online sales system, into your advertising. How do you get leads and put them into your, your online sales system? How do you automate that entire process? How to automate the followup? How do you automate the confirmation part? How do you automate the retargeting and when you have that in place, we missed this. You can pretty much leave that part of your business in place.
You'd have like a well oiled machine that runs for you, that do the advertising for you and you just go check on it like once per day check. How much did you spend on advertising yesterday? How many leads did you get? How much did you pay per lead? How much I'm, I'm an interview customers? Did we get, how much revenue did you bring in? How much did you pay to acquire a customer? You just report on those numbers. One per once per day. If you like the numbers, you can just ramp it up if you want to. You just go and click in a new number of daily ad spend into your marketing automation system and everything will take care of itself. So yeah, if you're on having marketing automation in place, you need to get that fixed. The third thing that you need to have in place for your business, the third sign that you're doing something right here is that you're doing retargeting and you're doing that cross platform, cross platform retargeting.
So what is, what is cross platform and what is retargeting? Well, what do you can do now online in 2020 and beyond in terms of advertising is that you can retarget people. And what that means is that when someone just comes to your website just once or they see our Facebook ad just once, or Instagram ads just once or they can just go to your Facebook business page just once. But most roofers do is that they don't do anything. If someone comes to your website, they and they leave, they're never going to see you again. But what we're targeting means is that if someone just comes to your content out there, just once, you can save that person into an audience and you can retarget them so you can save that person and then you can show them ads over and over and over and over again so that they don't forget about.
And the whole reason about retargeting is that want to bring them back to your online sales system and if they come to your online sales system once and they don't convert, if they don't go through the process the right way to become a new customer, right? You want to remind them you more didn't want to try to bring them back to your online sales system. And that's called retargeting. And the retargeting is the, it's like the best type of advertising you can do because you only advertise to people that already know who you are. And it's also a ton cheaper than doing cold traffic and paints as it's called, when you're showing ads to people that has never seen your ads before. So, and cross platform retargeting is when you do retargeting on Facebook and on Instagram and on YouTube and on the Google display network and on LinkedIn if you want to do that, if you're a commercial business, so you do retargeting on all platforms and if you're not doing retargeting and all right now you need to get that fixed.
It's like the first thing you need to get fixed off through your own online sales system cause it's dirt cheap and super powerful. So if you're not doing retargeting, you're missing a big time. I can promise you that. If you want to know how to do it and if you want to know how to do it cross platform, you know where to go. The fourth thing that I want to talk about is Facebook and Facebook campaigns. And if you're not doing Facebook campaigns for roofing, the solar business right now, if you're doing, you know those lead generation websites, you know, home advisor, Angie's list or maybe you're doing only Google, different Google pay per click or SEO or maybe you're just having an marketing agency hired where they do the work for you or you have like a type of agreement where you only pay per lead, which is bad in my opinion because you're not doing any brand building whatsoever and they do all of the advertising under your brands who are missing out on the whole brand building part.
Or maybe you're just still doing offline marketing. Maybe you're doing team radio commercials or billboards or magazines or you know, outbound hub type of marketing, you know, direct mail campaigns or call centers or even Defore knocking, right? If you're doing all of these things but you're not doing Facebook, you're missing out big time as well. Why? Because all of these things that I just mentioned, they are super popular. They've been around for a long time. The competition is tight. Most of them are super expensive. Some of them you can't even track and Google more, more. Most of all is super popular. Everyone's doing SEO and pay-per-click, so it's very competitive and it's becoming more expensive all the time. If you've been doing Google SEO paper click for the last two years or the last year, you know that the prices are going up all the time, so when you move over to Facebook you have less competition.
Pretty much no one is doing Facebook advertising the right way in the roof. In the solar industry right now, a lot of people have space for business peaches, but not a lot of people are doing building campaigns right way and hooking up to an online sales system of marketing one Waisman, all of that. So by moving them over to Facebook, you escape the competition. You can get higher quality leads for cheaper prices and you will be able to do branding on Facebook and social media as well that you cannot do on the search engine, right? You be able to share videos, images, and build your brand, share your logo, actually do the advertising under your own logo on your own brand. On your own Facebook business page. So moving over to Facebook and social media advertising. If you're roofing a solar contractor, yeah, that's a game changer.
And the most successful customers that we're working with, you know when they understood the power of Facebook and social media advertising, they just don't went for it. We have customers starting out with $3,500 in monthly ad spend. Now they are spending more than $20,000 per month and they're getting more leads and higher quality and exclusive leads that build their brand as well from doing spending $20,000 per month on Facebook. They're getting better results. They're than spending 50 grand a month and all these other things that I had mentioned before. Home advisor, Google femur, radio commercials, direct mail, print, SEO, blah, blah, blah, Facebook, social media advertising, figure that stuff up. It's going to help you a ton if your roof from this whole contract. The fifth thing is that you need to start to figuring out AI big data and in market targeting, right? So if you have no idea what artificial intelligence is or if you have no idea what big data is, it's basically, I'm sure you've heard about it, right?
It's like this new technology that isn't just taking over right now and just in a couple of years it's going to take over even more, right? So artificial intelligence is pretty much code and computers that come intelligent thinking, they can pretty much um, educate themselves. They become smarter, but just, yeah, I don't even really know how it works down to the details. I just know what it brings. And the benefits of it is you can automate, you can utilize big data and AI to automate your business and have computers working for you. That's kind of what marketing automation and AI does, right? But what big data is, is you can just see it like a ton of data and then all of these big social media platforms has about all their users. So when you have a ton of data information about everyone on their platform, they pretty much know everything about everyone.
When they, how that all, all that information, they utilize AI and marketing automation, machine learning to, to um, you know, to Stryker this day and find the right data at the right time and so forth. And if, if, if the human would do that, it wouldn't be possible from the Dean AI to kind of do this. No. Computers can do a million things simultaneously. So that's why they have an ID on so forth. Right. So what you can do with AI and big data is that you can target people, you can, if you know how to work together with AI in the Fisk algorithm and when you know how, when you understand big data is that in terms of advertising is that you're gonna start to target people within your advertising campaigns. There are activities certain for your services. So the quality of the leads are going to be a lot higher.
And if you know how to do the targeting the right way, you're going to pay a lot less for the leads as well. Should we going to get cheaper leads but higher quality leads and you're going to get to get a high higher conversion rates and all of that, so you need to figure out how to do AI and big data targeting. Super important. The sixth sign that you are doing something right in terms of advertising for a roof and the solar business is that you are doing social media branding. If you're not doing branding and all right now you're missing a big time, like branding is super important. If you're on your own business may, but maybe you're not doing social media branding right now. Maybe you're doing TV and radio commercials or maybe you're doing a direct mail campaign, so maybe you're doing billboards or yard signs or maybe you're doing magazines and you think that is still the best branding method out there today.
The truth is it's not just think about like this, it's super simple. Where do people have their attention, like normal people? Do they look on billboards or magazines or do they look on this thing? Do they look on TB or on the mobile phone? Most of the day. It's pretty simple, right? Everyone is spending time on this thing. Not a lot of people are carrying around a 50 inch TV in their pocket when they go to work, but they sure to carry this thing with them. So if you're not doing social media branding right now, you're missing out big time. And some people think that, Hey, it's only the jungle red generation that's on social media. That's simply not true. Just look up the stats and you will be staggered. It's insane. All age groups on Facebook from small kids to people off 80 years of age or even older than that, people are on their iPads and iPhones and it's just insane.
So if you're just fooling yourself thinking that only you know, your target market or your group from solid business isn't on social media. Yeah, you can just keep fooling ourselves from your competitors are just going to get all the results essentially. Right? So you need to do how to, first of all, do advertising on this thing. But you, more importantly is that you need to know how to do branding on social media. How do you share your content on social media with paid traffic campaigns so that people know who you are, they like you, they trust you and they want to do business with you. You need to figure out how to do to do that and we show you exactly how to do that on beetroot and dot-coms. Make sure to check that out. The seventh thing is the seventh sign that you're doing something right in terms of advertising in 2020 and beyond for your in the solar business is that you're ignoring those lead gen generation websites and services.
So if you're still doing home advisor, if you're still doing Angie's list or all of these other lead generation websites, no, you're missing out. You're doing it the completely wrong way. There's so many problems with those lead generation websites. No, the leads are duplicate. Why would you ever pay for duplicate leads in 2020 it's insane when you can just have exclusive leads generated on your own brand and website for a fraction, but they'll get home advisor, so it's expensive. It's duplicate 80 to $130 per lead or duplicate, shared up to five contractors. Insane. And the leads are of super low quality. It's pretty much impossible to get hold of them. And you're not building your brand, you're generating the leads under, under home advisor's spread. When you call the whole the home owner, they have no idea who you are, what your company stands for, what your logo is.
You've not not done any branding whatsoever when you bought, bought that lead. So it's insanely, insanely bad. And another thing that has become very popular now for advertising agencies is that they kind of model that model. So they kinda do the same thing as home advisor do, but they do isn't as an agency, they lead send you to paint the scene, sell you leads. So you only pay per lead. So they have like a signup fee, like a year Luffy of a couple of hundred, a thousand thousand dollars. I don't know what it is. And then they just tell you that, Hey, you don't have to pay us monthly. You just pay per lead. And again, it's the same problem there. Sometimes the leads are duplicate. If you are exclusive, you're going to pay a ton more of them and they also don't build your brand because they do all of, they own the seeds system, they do the advertising under their brand and then they just distributed to you.
So you're not doing, you're missing out on the whole brand building thing here as well. So don't do that. Just escape those lead generation websites and services. It's the easy way out and if it's easy, everyone's going to do it. And everyone thinks that building having your own online sales sales system in place and doing your own advertising in house, they think that's hard. So they don't do it. But the truth is that it's, that is even easier. You get better results, you own the system yourself and yet you can do your own brand branding. You can automate it with computers and it's just thousand times better, probably 10,000 times more better than just outsourcing to work.
